Red Riding Hood hits theaters this weekend, and as the main character, Valerie, Amanda Seyfried spends much of the movie traipsing through the woods in a stunning, scarlet cape. While the dramatic piece looks amazing on film, a floor-sweeping style might be a bit much for everyday wear. Jennifer Lopez is the New Face of Tous Jewelry

Jennifer Lopez just added a new gig to her resume: the face of Tous jewelry! The Spanish label, which most recently collaborated with Manolo Blahnik on a shoe-inspired collection, tapped Lopez to front their Spring 2011 campaign because, as the brand’s president Salvador Tous said, she’s “genuine and endlessly charismatic; a great illustration of our brand.” Lopez will be shot by Ellen Von Unwerth, CNBC reports, and the ads will have a fun, feminine feel. The sparkle-loving star said of the deal, “You know, all girls love diamonds.”

Matthew Williamson Designs a Lower-Priced Line for Macy’s

Matthew Williamson fans, take note! The designer, whose A-list followers include Blake Lively and Cat Deeley, is teaming up with Macy’s this spring, which means you’ll be able to score his punchy prints at a much lower price point. Williamson, who recently launched a bridal collection, has created a 30-piece, ’70s-inspired line for the retailer, WWD reports. Expect to see lots of embellished dresses, printed scarves, rompers, and leather and suede jackets priced from $50 to $300. “The collection aims to capture the essence of the mainline brand, with a focus on effortless glamour; dynamic prints; loosely structured silhouettes, and pops of strong color,” said Williamson. Excited? Us too! The collection will be available in stores and online April 13, but check in next week, when we’ll post a sneak peek of the pieces.

How Renee Zellweger Customized Her Carolina Herrera Dress

Renee Zellweger was honored at last night’s Texas Film Hall of Fame Awards, where she celebrated her home state in a strapless, black, below-the-knee frock by Carolina Herrera. Rather than wear the look as it was shown on Herrera’s fall 2011 runway, Zellweger decided to take up the hemline in order to show off her killer black heels. She accessorized the jewel-topped dress with a diamond and onyx Neil Lane cocktail ring and simple hair and makeup.

Fun Fact: Cameron Diaz also wore a shortened Carolina Herrera frock to the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.
