Today is my 29th birthday and I want to team up with all of you to celebrate. I am hoping to raise $5,000 TODAY to build one clean water project that will serve 250 people with clean water. Last year, I learned firsthand that lack of access to clean water primarily affects women and children. We have to look out for each other ladies—and giving back is always in style! 100 percent of donations will be directed towards our water project and in 18 months, we will have GPS coordinates on Google Maps and photos of the well that we built together. Last night, Chanel hosted a dinner in New York in honor of Blake Lively, the brand’s newest ambassador for its Mademoiselle handbag line. Despite the fact that she was decked out wearing Chanel Haute Couture and Christian Louboutin pumps, the actress doesn’t think fashion lovers need a designer wardrobe to have great style. “For most of my life I didn’t have access to designer clothes, but I always loved fashion,” Lively told InStyle. “The one thing I’ve found is that no matter what you wear, if you feel good in it and you love the way you look, that’s all that matters.” And the Gossip Girl star knows you can’t please everyone. “I’ve certainly taken my fair share of criticism for some of the things I’ve worn, but the only thing that’s important is that I felt,” she said. “You don’t just wear something because it’s a designer label or it’s trendy—you wear it because you love it.”

Balenciaga‘s fall 2011 collection was rich with volume and modern florals. Shots of neon could be found in many of the separates, while accessories like strappy statement shoes, structured and puffy woven clutches were predominantly black. Additionally, model Miranda Kerr made her first runway appearance since giving birth less than two months ago! Uma Thurman recently lent her voice to Ralph Lauren’s new shoppable online storybook named The RL Gang: A Magnificent School Adventure, and she did it for charity. The brand plans to donate 15 percent of sales from the site to Room to Grow, a non-profit organization that helps enrich the lives of babies born into poverty. “I love being able to help another mother who has the same aspirations for her children as I do, but simply does not have the resources,” Thurman said in a statement. In celebration of the launch, Ralph Lauren is also hosting a contest to find a new child star for the feature’s next installment. Parents can upload photos of their children to the brand’s Facebook page for the public to vote on, and the winner will be flown to New York City for a photo shoot. Komen for the Cure just announced its first-ever Pink Passion Auction—an online sale filled with beauty treatments, luxury vacations, and pink fashion items from designers like Valentino, Judith Ripka, and Jimmy Choo. The Manolo Blahnik brand even donated a pair of the famous blue stilettos from Sex and the City in a rose-colored satin hue for the event. “I am thrilled by the number of luxury brands embracing the promise that started Susan G.
