Giuliana Rancic Won’t Wear Foundation to the Oscars

Feb 25, 2011 @ 12:08 pm

E! News anchor Giuliana Rancic is going bare for this Sunday’s 83rd annual Academy Awards. Skin-wise, that is! The Fashion Police officer told us she’s planning to hit the Oscars red carpet without foundation. “Under the bright lights, cameras, and HD televisions, foundation can be very noticeable, especially if you’re wearing too much of it,” Rancic told InStyle exclusively. Her secret to skipping the stuff: DDF Skincare’s Revolve 400X Micro-Polishing System microdermabrasion kit ($95 at DDFSkincare.com). “It’s incredible. It actually helps polish away my day-to-day imperfections, making my skin look absolutely beautiful,” said Rancic, who also plans to wear a Christian Siriano gown. “To me, natural, healthy looking skin is really beautiful. With a little concealer, eyeshadow, liner, gloss and bronzer, I love my lighter makeup look.” Her favorite part? “I’ve saved so much money on facials!”

Ginnifer Goodwin Has a Wig Contract So She Can Cut Hair Freely

Feb 25, 2011 @ 11:16 am

Ginnifer Goodwin loves her short hair, and it got even shorter recently when she shaved the sides for a fade/Mohawk effect. “It didn’t take any courage,” the Big Love actress told us of her shorter crop at the Harvey Weinstein and Dior pre-Oscars dinner this week. “It purely took getting permission from HBO and the folks behind Big Love. They owned every hair on my head!” So that’s why she did something about her hair—legally. “I now have a wig clause written into every one of my contracts,” she told us. “Thank goodness I can procure wigs, whether I buy them or the production buys them, I always do wear a wig.” Why? Because she considers hair expressive. “I find it hard to express myself when I’m growing out a very bad character haircut. As long as I can wear a wig, I can be any character and in real life I can be myself.”

Kirsten Dunst Poses With Lion for Bulgari

Feb 25, 2011 @ 10:36 am

Kirsten Dunst is the new face of Bulgari‘s Mon Jasmin Noir fragrance and the campaign shots were just released! In them, Dunst clutches her perfume bottle while sitting next to an adult lion. We’d be surprised to see a star cuddling up to the king of the jungle, but it isn’t the first time the luxury Italian label used the celebrity-plus-wild-feline formula. Julianne Moore also posed nude with lion cubs for a Bulgari handbag campaign last season. The new fragrance, a lighter version of the label’s Jasmin Noir scent, is now available exclusively at Nordstrom for $80 to $105.

Runway Looks We Love: Prada

Feb 25, 2011 @ 10:28 am

Always one to get the fashion world talking, Prada designer Miuccia Prada relied on a caricature of girlishness for her fall 2011 collection. School-girl innocence complemented tougher elements of fur and snakeskin, as well as countless covetable coats. For evening, the line was rich with fish scale pailette dresses, while drop-waist coat dresses, school-girl skirts and peter-pan collar blouses reigned supreme for day looks. Models clutched bags in shades of red, white, yellow, and green, and wore Mary-Jane python boots that looked like shoes paired with knee socks. Click through the gallery to see the entire Prada fall 2011 collection.

Eva Mendes’ Workout Secret: Toning Shoes!

Feb 25, 2011 @ 10:08 am

Want to get a body like Eva Mendes? All you need is the right pair of footwear (and maybe a four-legged friend). “My favorite way to get exercise is to put on my Reebok EasyTones and walk my dog Hugo,” Mendes told us at the shoot for label’s new line of apparel and toning shoes, which use Balance Ball technology to help tone leg and butt muscles (she’s the new EasyTone Ambassador). “Like many women, I’m not crazy about working out but these are great because if I don’t make it to the gym one day, I can put them on while I run errands and still feel like I’m getting some exercise.” Mendes, who also does light weight training and yoga to stay in shape, said that she’s a new fan of the footwear. “When toning shoes first came out I loved the idea of them but once I saw what they looked like I didn’t want to wear them,” she told us. “But once I saw the EasyTones, I was like, ‘These are totally cute!’”
