I think a lot of celebs went for minimalistic looks this year at the oscars… several chose some serious show-stopper gowns like anne hathaway, halle berry, jennifer hudson, sanda bullock, hillary swank…. but even the minimalistic ones were great, it just seemed we’re in another fashion stage.. “less is more”.
My favorite ones were definitely anne hathaway, halle berry and hillary swank.. although I loved Cate Blanchet’s, she wasn’t wearing just a dress, she was wearing a piece of art!
I always imagine myself attending those events and picking something out of the runways for me to wear.. no one wore what I would have worn.. I would have picked an ivory strapless long gown from Elie Saab’s 2011 couture collection.

I can’t believe Natalie Portman didnot make your list, she looked stunning. Did not like Jennifer Hudsons dress..too much with that color and frankly her chest looked deflated.

cate blanchet’s dress was horrible….i don’t know what happened….and speaking of being blind sided by bad tailoring what in the world happended to scarlett johanson??? it was like a lace bomb blew up. jeremy could do so much better.

Oh…but I loved mila!!! she looked fantastic! definately stole the night.
