Jennifer Hudson had no trouble deciding on the tangerine Atelier Versace dress she wore to last night’s Oscars ceremony. “Oh my God, as soon as I walked in the room I said, ‘There she is. That is my dress there,’” she told us on the Academy Awards red carpet last night. “Once I put her on I refused to put on anything else. And I couldn’t sleep until today to wear her.” It’s a good thing Hudson eventually got some rest, since it took energy to wear her gown all night—it was so voluminous that her manager had to hold up the train throughout the evening. “The tricky thing is people stepping on the dress,” she explained. “So he’s got to help me.” Fans of Hudson’s bold look will have more red carpet moments to look forward to, as she’s gearing up to debut her sophomore album Remember Me, out March 22nd.

Love J.Hud. Hated this dress on her. Her makeup looked painted on. The bust of the dress was all wrong for her.

I love everything but the hairstyle.

The one up, one down boobs were an unpleasant distraction. The lacefront was applied wrong. The color of the dress was pretty though.

There’s some harsh comments on here. This is a hard color to pull off and I think she does it beautifully. She’s morphed into such a beautiful, confident role model. This was a risk, but a good one. Gotta take risks!

While your style is what attracted me algiinolry to your sites (both WA2BAM and now at Cartoon Heart), it was your words, and more specifically, your voice that kept me coming back. You have a unique and honest point of view and it’s something I really appreciate. I love the fact that it’s not just Jeffery Campbell shoes and TopShop shirts. I love the fact that what you offer isn’t just snap shots of your wardrobe (though I adore those, too). I just hope you don’t become too disenfranchised from the blogging world to stop offering what you have to show to us. You have a lot to say. And you have a lot of people who want to listen.
