Christopher Kane to Launch Collection With J Brand Jeans
Feb 24, 2011 @ 5:55 pmGood news, denim lovers: J Brand just announced that it will collaborate with British designer Christopher Kane to launch a capsule collection for his 2012 resort collection. Kane, who just showed his fall collection during London Fashion Week last weekend, has collaborated with J Brand before—last year, J Brand founder Jeff Rudes recruited Kane for the labels 5×5 project, which tapped five British designers to create a pair of jeans (Kane’s camo style, shown left, retailed for $500). After their first successful partnership, Rudes is excited for what’s to come: “We are delighted to be working with Christopher to build a long term viable denim business with him,” Rudes said in a statement. J Brand has previously partnered with Proenza Schouler, Hussein Chalayan, Henry Duarte, and Erdem.

a director has such a wnuderfol experience on a film, that they let themselves get attached to it all; the story, the characters, the actors they’ve worked with, that it can be hard to let it go. Sometimes it’s hard for the actors too. They come together for a short amount of time, forming a community, hopefully building something wnuderfol together and they just get attached and even grow to love each other. And then it’s…seeyabye and it can really hurt letting go. Then too, some film experiences are so horrendous that you cannot wait to run as far away as fast as you can. As closely as they bonded, I’ve wondered if it was hard on Rob walking away from Tai. And hard for her too in seperating from him in that, when animals get attached and then were suddenly not there anymore, they don’t understand why. And they mourn. Who knows, maybe he’ll go visit her from time to time. I personally think he should buy them a house with a great big backyard (no, I mean a GREAT BIG backyard) and just take her home. Wouldn’t that make a kick ass Christmas card? Rob and Kristen sitting on top of Tai with Jella perched on her head? And all of them wearing Santa hats? Works for me.
