Fashion Week is winding down in New York, but there’s still plenty of fabulous fashion and celebrity sightings. Vanessa Hudgens kept up her Fashion Week rounds, sitting front row at Yigal Azrouel, Diesel Black Gold and Tibi. Meanwhile, Rodarte took us through the plains of the midwest, buckwheat prints and all, with a collection that climaxed with two ruby-slipper-inspired dresses (shown). Marc Jacobs also showed a very “deer” collection for his Marc by Marc Jacobs line, with the animal featured on dresses, accessories and shoes. And that’s not all! Click through to find out what happened on day seven of New York Fashion Week.

Halston‘s fall 2011 collection was full of sultry looks for day and night. Floor-length dresses revealed hints of skin with high-slits or peek-a-boo cutouts. Our favorite moment: Two of the sequin looks became glow-in-the-dark when the lights went out at the end of the show. Click through the gallery to see the our favorite Halston fall 2011 looks.

Runway Looks We Love: Narciso Rodriguez

Feb 16, 2011 @ 4:38 pm

Narciso Rodriguez‘ fall 2011 line was clean and structured with a few breezy, light-as-air dresses thrown into the mix. The collection played with geometric shapes, and paint-splattered prints added shots of pink and lavender. We loved the designer’s classic coats. Plus, the models wore flats! Runway Looks We Love: Vera Wang

Vera Wang‘s fall 2011 collection was a modern take on ’30s glamour. “Wang showed her best collection in recent memory,” InStyle‘s fashion director Cindy Weber Cleary said. “My favorite look, shown left, combined a sporty leather fur-lined jacket with a sheer knife pleated skirt, all in shades of gray. It managed to be both edgy and feminine.” Parkas and pleats were interspersed throughout the lineup. Click through the gallery to see the our favorite Vera Wang fall 2011 looks.

Stylist Nicole Chavez’s FW Favorites: Bibhu Mohapatra’s Outerwear

Feb 16, 2011 @ 4:04 pm

Stylist Nicole Chavez (inset) often dresses Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Bilson, Kristen Bell and Catherine Zeta-Jones for red carpet events. This week, she’s contributing to InStyle.com, picking out her favorite looks from New York Fashion Week. Check out her latest pick below!

“For a Cali girl it is ironic, but I am obsessed with outerwear, and Bibhu Mohapatra showed some great textured options for fall. The jackets were tailored and sophisticated, and I loved the unexpected hint of stripes throughout. He is a favorite of my client Rachel Bilson… and definitely one to watch.”

Runway Looks We Love: Rodarte

Feb 16, 2011 @ 3:54 pm

“Rodarte’s wonderful Western and prairie-inspired collection was unlike no other,” InStyle fashion director Cindy Weber Cleary said of the lineup, which included quilt-like leather patchwork, floor-sweeping coats, and universal tones of wheat and oat. “The second look, shown right, showed off the collection’s offbeat elegance to perfection. The longer full skirt moved beautifully.” The line also spoke to a Wizard of Oz reference, with looks inspired by Dorothy’s Ruby slippers closing the show. Justin Bieber’s Hair Secret

Feb 16, 2011 @ 3:39 pm

Justin Bieber‘s hair toss can send girls into shrieks and squeals. It’s also one of the most coveted styles for young boys, according to the New York Times. So what’s his secret? Five words: Oribe Rough Luxury Molding Wax. “Justin has a lot of hair, but it’s very fine and silky smooth,” said Bieber’s stylist Vanessa Rose Price. “Rough Luxury is perfect because it minimizes the number of products we need when creating different looks.” To achieve Justin’s signature style, Price applies the product to damp hair and blow-dries it. Once dry, she works the wax into the ends of Justin’s hair for added definition. “Rough Luxury provides enough control so that when Justin sweeps his hair over, it’ll stay put,” the product’s creator, celebrity hairstylist Oribe, told InStyle exclusively. Pick up your own tub for $34 on Oribe.com.
