Dec 21, 2010 @ 5:51 pm

Roberto Cavalli‘s empire is growing! The Italian designer (shown with Rachel Bilson) announced plans today to open 15 new cafés and five clubs in cities around the world, including São Paulo, Shanghai, Istanbul, Beirut and Mumbai, WWD reports. The new locations are in addition to a Just Cavalli Club in Milan, two Cavalli Clubs in Florence and Dubai and three Cavalli Giacosa Cafés in Florence. So now when Bilson and other Cavalli-loving globetrotters like Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez travel, they’ll have guaranteed stylish spots (designed with Cavalli’s signature animal print, black quartz and Swarovski crystals) in which to party.

Meet Marina Diamandis, New Face of Max Factor

Dec 21, 2010 @ 2:58 pm

It won’t be long before you start to see Marina Diamandis‘s face everywhere. The Welsh singer, whose stage name is Marina and the Diamonds, announced on Twitter this morning that Max Factor named her its new brand ambassador. And she’s in good company, considering the heavy-hitting beauties who held the position before her: Gisele Bundchen, Madonna and Carmen Electra. While the rest of the details are still under wraps, we’re psyched to see what Diamandis will bring to the seasoned, century-old Max Factor company. After all, the 25-year-old singer wore some pretty over-the-top makeup looks in her “I Am Not a Robot” music video (think crystal-studded lips, green face paint and all-over glitter), so we know she’s not afraid to go there.

Royal Wedding Watch: Queen Elizabeth’s Granddaughter Zara Phillips Engaged

Dec 21, 2010 @ 12:28 pm

Kate Middleton isn’t the only royal bride-to-be anymore! Zara Phillips, Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter and daughter of Princess Anne (which means she’s Prince William’s cousin), announced her engagement to English professional rugby player Mike Tindall today. Tindall gave Phillips, a champion equestrian, a diamond solitaire, People reports. You know what this means? Another huge ring. Another epic dress. Another grand party that must be planned. And while there is no word on when the wedding will be, we’re hoping it won’t be close to Kate and William’s April date, so that Royal Watchers (like us) have enough time to recover before getting themselves in a Royal frenzy all over again.

Forbes Names Houston the Best Shopping City in America

Dec 21, 2010 @ 11:16 am

Forbes released its first-ever list of the top 25 shopping cities in America, and the results are a bit surprising!  Houston claimed the top spot, while Los Angeles came in at no. 16, Boston took no. 18, New York ranked no. 22 and San Francisco settled for last place. Forbes used a formula that took into account each city’s number of retail locations, shopping centers and sales tax to compute the rankings. Since Houston tops the list with 16,938 retail locations and 54 shopping centers, it took first place. To see the full list of top shopping cities in America as ranked by the number-crunchers at Forbes, click here. Did your favorite shopping city make the list? Tell us in the comments below!
