The following is a guest post from one of our favorite blogs, Fabsugar.

Getting a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame is huge. Gwyneth Paltrow is the latest actress to join the exclusive group, which also includes Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz and Kyra Sedgwick, among others. So it’s only fitting that these stylish women would show up to the ceremony in perfect ensembles. Gwyneth opted for a lace Monique Lhuillier dress, Reese wore Dolce & Gabbana polka dots, Cameron chose white lace Oscar de la Renta, and Kyra Sedgwick went with a voluminous orange frock. They all look so ladylike-chic!

Before there was John Frieda, Frederic Fekkai or Sally Hershberger, there was Vidal Sassoon. The iconic British-born Israeli hairstylist rose to fame in the ’60s with his succinct bobs and angular cuts (shown above), and became one of the first hairstylists to launch an eponymous chain of salons and line of products. His rise from touch-up trims to timeless cuts is chronicled in the new film Vidal Sassoon the Movie, which opens February 11. Intrigued? Watch the just-released movie trailer after the jump.

The Golden Globe nominees for Best Original Song aren’t usually on our short list of favorites the way the nominees for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress are, but things are different this year! All five nominees are Hollywood (and/or Nashville) heavyweights like Gwyneth Paltrow, Christina Aguilera and Cher. And while the tunes usually aren’t performed at the Golden Globes, we’re hoping the Hollywood Foreign Press Association can find time for them in the show this year. Check out the complete list of Best Song nominees in the gallery.

Leighton Meester: Country Strong Influenced My Songwriting

Dec 15, 2010 @ 11:07 am

Leighton Meester may play a beauty queen-turned-singer alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw in the upcoming movie Country Strong, but the Gossip Girl star admitted that a country music career isn’t in her immediate future. “I’m definitely not coming out with a country album any time soon,” Meester (in Christian Dior) told us last night at the film’s Los Angeles premiere. “But I enjoy it. This is different than anything I’ve done. It’s definitely influenced my style of songwriting.” Her country music superstar co-star Tim McGraw played a huge role: “We sat down for hours and talked about everything,” the 24-year-old said of McGraw. “He was my mentor in the movie and in real life, too.” Meester, who signed a record contract with Universal last April, sings a cover of “Words I Couldn’t Say” by Rascal Flatts on the movie’s soundtrack.

Matthew Williamson on His New Bridal Collection

Dec 15, 2010 @ 10:41 am

Matthew Williamson is launching a bridal collection, and we caught up with the British designer to find out the details: “I evolved the bridalwear from the soft femininity and luxurious aesthetic found within my runway collections each season,” the designer (shown with celebrity fan Sienna Miller) told InStyle exclusively. “The pieces will offer an extensive range of options—classic silhouettes to entice both the boho, glamourous brides-to-be and the more structured, modern brides alike.” The line, which Williamson tells us will feature silk gowns with embellishments and several accessories, will be sold at the Matthew Williamson flagship store in New York starting next year. We can’t wait to see it!
