It won’t be available to the masses until early next year, but lucky Burberry face Emma Watson was recently spotted in the very first bespoke trench. We love the leather sleeves and how chic it looks with her studded Winter Storms bag. Burberry-on-Burberry never looked so tough!

Rachel Roy Talks Charity Tote

Nov 15, 2010 @ 5:15 pm

We recently chatted with big-hearted designer Rachel Roy, who’s made a tote to support those affected by the floods in Pakistan: “My 10-year-old daughter, Ava, recently had to go to a new school and was extremely nervous. I read her a paragraph on the children of Pakistan—how they could not attend school and lost family members because of the floods. She looked at me and said, ‘What are you doing about it?’ So I had to do something,” Roy told us. For every bag sold, the designer will donate $20 to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s disaster relief and recovery efforts for the Pakistan flood victims. But she’s not the only one showing her support: Autographs from celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Selma Blair, Freida Pinto and Michael Kors are also imprinted on the back of the bag. “I only had about a week to gather all signatures and design the tote. Everyone’s response was overwhelming. Oprah signed without hesitation, as did Jay-Z and Diane von Furstenberg,” said Roy. Show your support and pre-order the bag online now!

Lady Gaga to Launch Fragrance Line with Coty

Nov 15, 2010 @ 3:40 pm

Maybe we can’t read her poker face, but we will be able to rock her perfume in the not too distant future. Indeed, summer speculation has proven true, and Lady Gaga will create a fragrance line with Coty Inc. to launch in the spring of 2012. CEO of Coty Inc, Bernd Beetz, said, “We welcome Lady Gaga to the Coty family and look forward to breaking boundaries that will allow people to experience beauty in a different and unique way.” We can’t wait to see how the perfume bottles turn out!  Perhaps we can expect a sheer catsuit? Or a feathered headpiece? When it comes to Gaga, one never knows…

Emma Watson to Design with Alberta Ferretti

Nov 15, 2010 @ 3:09 pm

As Hermione in Harry Potter, she conjured up her own gown for the Yule Ball, and now in real life, Emma Watson is set to begin designing a high-end line with Alberta Ferretti. Emma currently collaborates with People Tree on a line of casual clothes, the proceeds of which benefit sustainable farming efforts. It was actually her People’s Tree line that first caught Ferretti‘s eye, Emma told UsWeekly.com. “She wrote to me and said, ‘I saw what you did with People Tree and I think it’s a great idea and will you do something with me?’” Emma says her inspiration for the line is “Very classic, ’60s Jane Birkin.” She’s not moving too far away from her roots, however, as the yet-to-be-named line will feature organic clothing.

Vera Wang to Direct a Film?

Nov 15, 2010 @ 2:07 pm

Watch out Tom Ford—you’re not the only designer interested in directing movies. As Vera Wang told InStyle exclusively, she is considering picking up the camera and making an independent film: “In fashion shows, you always try to tell a story in those nine or 10 minutes and to take it to another level with three and four dimensions is kind of groovy,” she told us. As for what the movie will be about, Vera said, “I love stories about love, about anger, about emotion, about complexity. It might involve fashion a little bit.” And would that fashion be her own? “Probably, if I make a film I’ll use my own clothes.” A complex love story and stylish costumes? We can’t wait!

Stars Wear Black and White to MOCA’s Annual Gala

Nov 15, 2010 @ 1:01 pm

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles held its annual “The Artists Museum Happening” gala over the weekend, attracting stylish stars like Kate Bosworth and Mila Kunis. As the event was sponsored by Chanel fine jewelry, it made perfect sense that most of the ladies forfeited punchy hues in favor of the French house’s sophisticated and often monochromatic palette.
