When it comes to being a country music sensation, blond hair is basically a job requirement. See: Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, and Dolly Parton, for starters. And for most of her career, Taylor Swift was no exception. But is she trying to buck the trend? She came on the scene in 2007 with near platinum curls (left) which gave way this summer to a subtle, ombre blond (center). At the Country Music Awards this week, though, her strands were a light, caramel-y brown (right). So, is the country star slowly but surely going brunet? Tell us what you think in the comments below!

I don’t believe she is…. I think it got darker, because people’s hair color sometimes changes. Taylor Swift is very confident with herself and I don’t think she would change her hair color. The middle picture and the picture on the right look no different.

Also the 2 last pics are the exact same you can just tell that the lighting is different. BUT in the 1st pic she VERY MOST DID HAVE HIGHLIGHTS you can see it in her roots & her eyebrows starting out were MUCH darker too, now she dyes it all even below the drapes too I bet, LOL!

It looks like her hair was colored lighter and she just grew it out. I definitely like it more blonde!

I always thought her hair colour was natural… maybe it’s different lightening?

Two of my children were born very blond and now are around Taylor’s age and both have more brownish hair. Things change!!

My hair did the same thing…it was just natural that it got darker when I got to high school :( I’m highlighting it now though so it’s still blonde :)

I love the darker shade on her, suits her skin tone better and brings out her eye colour. Fab!

She needs a style overhaul. Its boring and safe. Her hair and make-up are always the same. She’s young, she should change it up whether it be colour or cut.

It definitely looks like she’s just growing out her hair from when she dyed it platinum. You can see darker roots in the first picture, which are the same color as the roots in the second picture, and then ALL of her hair in the 3rd…

she’s lost lost of weight too… thank god!

Peoples hair changes color but not when they’re as old as she was in the first picture. Her hair is a natural very light blonde. She is coloring her hair darker, I think it looks better that way.

In the first pic her roots definitely look dark and she seems to be growing out her natural darker color…I prefer the middle pic where it appears to transition from the light brown/sandy blond (in the roots) into the blond (ends); the darker tone make her features appear more striking

You spelled BRUNETTE wrong. It’s really lame when writers don’t know how to spell.
