While the sketch shown may be vaguely early 1900s, it’s WAY off for Austen! Corset? Fishnets? Lace-up boots? Try empire waist and silk slippers…

Early 1900′s??–Late 1980′s. Add big hair and a “v” diamond headband to complete the look. I hope this is NOT the dress. The dress should have an empire waist with pleated banding under the bust and hand sewn antique mercury glass beading, tatted lace sleeves that come off the shoulders and the skirt of the dress should be a close fitting trumpet design made out of ivory silk satin. To follow the book description, Bella’s hair should be up in a loose Gibson girl held with silver and sapphire combs. The only thing on the above design that I would keep is the sweetheart neckline.
