Gisele Bundchen Has No Plans to Retire…Ever

Nov 3, 2010 @ 5:39 pm

Considering that she started modeling at 14 and has logged major miles on runways for brands like Balenciaga and Victoria’s Secret, no one could blame Gisele Bundchen for slowing down a bit. But it seems the statuesque model isn’t going anywhere. She tells Vogue Brazil, “I think [I'll be] working on things I believe in until the day I’m no longer here, because that makes me want to wake up in the morning. So, I think I will never retire, I’ll be always working on something.” And we’ll be watching! Find out what the original supermodels like Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell are up to now here.

Michelle Obama’s Jewelry Transformation

Nov 3, 2010 @ 4:48 pm

Just as Jackie O was known for her pearls, Michelle Obama is becoming synonymous with bold jewelry. Though early in her term as First Lady she did favor a double strand of pearls, these days Mrs. Obama is making sparkly brooches and statement necklaces her new signature. As with her fashion picks, she selects a mix of high end and low end pieces that are always in style.

Faux Fur Is Fab This Season!

Nov 3, 2010 @ 4:00 pm

The following is a post from one of our favorite blogs, Fabsugar.

Fur details are ideal fall accents—they add just a hint of luxury and contrast perfectly against utility-style jackets, blazers, or any cozy cover, really. Kylie Minogue‘s faux fur-lined jacket is a great lesson in the kind of dressing I’m after. The full fur-lining is just enough interest to play against a solid coat but not enough to distract from cool layers and a Fab pair of boots.

New Need-to-Know Web Site: Naag.com!

Nov 3, 2010 @ 2:26 pm

If you enjoy things like good food, music and fashion, check out Naag.com. Started by model Agyness Deyn (left) and journalist Fiona Byrne (right), the ultra cool site had its official New York launch party this week sponsored by AllSaints. We caught up with Byrne, the Editor-in-Chief, to find out more: “[Agyness] and I had a lot of friends in common. I’d heard her name for ages. Then we met one night and bonded over things we missed from our part of the world: tea, chocolate and Coronation Street (a British soap opera).” The idea for the site occurred to them in the summer 2009 and work began this spring. Next week, they’ll launch in London. After that? “We think Tokyo. I think it would be so cool to see the site in Japanese. Plus they love Aggy in Japan so it would be awesome to have a presence there and get to go do karaoke there a few times a year under the ruse of ‘business trip.‘” As for the site’s name, it’s just the last two letters of Fiona and the first two of Aggy. Nagging mystery solved!

See Stella McCartney’s Adorable Children’s Line

Nov 3, 2010 @ 1:18 pm

Calling all pint-sized fashionistas and the parents who dress them: Stella McCartney Kids launches today and the clothes, as you can see in the video above, are too cute for words. The designer, who is also a mother of three (with a fourth on the way!), explains in a press release, “I wanted this first collection to include basic pieces that are comfortable and that address a child’s needs, without sacrificing the fun and carefree elements.” Some of the items are adapted and shrunken versions from the adult line; others, like the organic cotton pajamas featuring a glow in the dark bumblebee, we just wish could squeeze into! For both boys and girls, the collection dresses infants all the way up to 12-year-olds.
