Last month InStyle designer (and part-time blogger) Jenni Radosevich showed you how to customize a hat-trick of fashion musts: an embellished T-shirt, ribbon necklace, and studded bag. Now (on page 172 of our November issue) she’s come through with a genius little plan for making a plain button-down a little more glam. Here’s what you do:

  • 1. Lay the garment flat on the table.
  • 2. Affix keys, nuts and washers to the shoulders of your shirt with fabric adhesive (it dries clear.) “If you want, bedeck the pockets too!” Radosevich says. Let dry overnight.
