Keira Knightley’s Easy-to-Copy Makeup

Keira Knightley is so gorgeous, it’s almost obscene. We literally can’t get over how flawless she looked at the London premiere of Never Let Me Go. The fashionistas are swooning over her pearl Chanel dress, and it turns out that’s exactly where Knightley’s makeup artist, Kate Lee, found her inspiration. “Pearls are classic, timeless and chic,” Lee told us. “I wanted the makeup to create an iconic image that would still look current years from now.” The makeup artist rimmed the star’s top and bottom lashline with Chanel Kohl Pencil, then smudged the outer third of the line for a soft, velvety effect. She added a touch of light by dabbing NARS cream shadow duo in Thebes along the center of the lid and the browbone. The finishing touch? A few artfully place clusters of faux lashes, and plenty of Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara. Perfect!

You people that think KK is so gorgeous must all be young. I”m 60 and know this is not true. You just don’t have that many beautiful women stars any longer. Ava Gardner, Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, Joan Collins, Gene Tierney.
Today, all you have Angelina, Megan Fox. No, Cate Blanchett isn’t considered to be in this arena. KK wouldn’t even get a second look, back in the day.

What is it with the older generations bemoaning lost beauty?
Quite frankly, some of the actresses from ‘back in the day’ look quite dated and old to modern standards. Yes, that includes some photos of Marilyn Monroe. All the strange posing and structured hairstyles and heavily crafted eyebrows…
Standards of beauty change. It is 2010, older people!!!!!
KK is very beautiful and I am very young compared to 60 yet old compared to the very young.

Get off the computer, go out and get some air and sunshine on a brisk walk around the block. You’ll feel much better. Sixty really isn’t that old, I know because I have parents older than you.

Keira looks FABULOUS! I am a “young” 50 y.o. and IMO KK is just as pretty as many of the “old school” actresses. And those smoky eyes in this picture are killing me!

I’m not digging the lash clusters; they look like a mascara accident. And I don’t quite get how the shadows were applied, maybe a different picture?

What’s so awesome about KK is the intensity of the expression in her eyes; even with minimal make-up, she still looks gorgeous. An excellent actress.
