Forbes has just released their Power Women Issue, and among the top ten are some of our faves!

Coming in at number one is First Lady Michelle Obama. “A fashion icon and an athletic mother of two, she’s Jackie Kennedy with a law degree from Harvard and street sense from Chicago’s South Side,” the magazine writes. And it goes without saying that her style’s always on point!

One of our favorite talk show hosts, Oprah Winfrey, came in third. Winfrey claimed the title of world’s most successful female media executive, earning $1.35 billion (!!) in the last five years. Although her talk show is in its last season, Winfrey has big plans for the future. She’s launching OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network, in January 2012 and will be honored by the Kennedy Center in December for her 25 years in entertainment.

Lady Gaga, one of the most talked-about people on the planet, ranks at number seven. And while we still can’t get “Bad Romance” out of our head, it’s Lady Gaga’s wild fashion savvy, feisty performances, and gay rights charity work that truly stand out.  By the time her Monster’s Ball world tour ends in April 2011, she’ll have pulled in $200 million. Her latest CD, The Fame Monster, ties with Beyonce, Rihanna, and Mariah Carey for the most No.1 Billboard hits by a female artist.

Some of them were shoo-ins: Halle Berry’s roughed-up pixie is such a classic that she’s still sporting it today. Katie Holmes’s graphic bob has been the top tried on style in our Hollywood Makeover Tool for as long as we can remember. A few of the picks, however, were more of a surprise—click through our gallery to see if your favorite stars and haircuts made our list. (And because we couldn’t help ourselves. To promote the cause, Keys has launched a new campaign called “Buy Life” which showcases the stars in bar code-emblazoned t-shirts. Keys tells PeopleStyleWatch.com, “With the launch of our Buy Life campaign, I am confident less people will needlessly have to die because of lack of proper care which means more children will still have parents to raise them and guide them.
