Milan Fashion Week wrapped yesterday to rave reviews, with major fashion critics like The New York Times‘ Cathy Horn saying, “It’s hard to remember a season here in the last decade when excellent collections were the norm and not the exception.” And we couldn’t agree more! InStyle‘s Ariel Foxman succinctly summed up the week with a tweet: “734 shows. 259 Coca Cola Lights. 1 Orlando Bloom sighting. Among the many highlights of Roberto Cavalli’s 40th anniversary show yesterday in Milan was the runway debut of the ‘Diva’ bag. The purse comes in three sizes and seven materials ranging from denim to python to calfskin leather, so shoppers can easily find the right style for their wardrobe. “Women must never forget that personality is the most glamorous accessory of all,” said the designer. Rachel Bilson and Taylor Swift both gave the bag their own personal spin, carrying versions to the show. Want one of your own? The ‘Diva’ will be available online and in stores in November and costs between $1,205 and $3,060.
After beating breast cancer in 2008, Christina Applegate is now making jewelry to raise money for her Right Action for Women foundation, an organization that helps women at high risk for breast cancer receive screenings. The actress explained that the “Tree of Life” pendant she created with NYC designer Alex Woo was inspired from a very personal memory. “This piece reminds me so much of the roses I made out of ribbons for my friends and family while in the hospital,” she told People. The necklace comes in silver ($198) or gold ($998).

The following is a guest post from one of our favorite online shopping destinations, Decadestwo.
Here in Los Angeles, we’ve been struck by a heat wave so intense that we’re practically melting. You know what 100° heat can do to girl’s coiffure, let alone her ensemble. So, when we gave sassy stylist and Decadestwo sales lady, Mayasha Long, the daunting task of coming up with an outfit that could both beat the heat and transition from day to night, she did not disappoint. “This black blouson Vanessa Bruno dress is prefect for keeping cool,” said Long. “It’s light and breezy and you get the added bonus of a little military action with large cargo pockets at the hip.” A gladiator flat is a stylish option when the temperature hits the high notes and Long recommended a pair of tan leather Celine sandals in keeping with fall’s neutral color palette. She topped the look off with a Louis Vuitton Epi leather Noe bag. “It’s the optimal tote for day,” noted Long. More
