Like all Gleeks, we are dying for Tuesday’s premiere of Fox’s singing, dancing smash! Thankfully, costume designer Lou Eyrich gave us a sneak peek into dressing Rachel, Finn, Quinn and the rest of the New Directions gang (along with, oh yeah, guest stars like Britney Spears). With nine to eleven costume changes per character, per episode, Eyrich and her team are in perpetual motion. “We wing it every single day,” she says. “We might have the cutest idea for dance number outfits. Then we see the videos from the choreography rehearsals and say: ‘Okay, that’s not going to work—get rid of the jumpsuits.’ We might have put them in pencil skirts and they were falling all over the place.” This season, Rachel Berry’s wardrobe grows up (from girlish skirts to womanly dresses), Tina goes Steampunk (“It’s like old Victorian meets modern meets futuristic”) and Kurt, now out of the closet, pushes his high-fashion style a little further. Eyrich is just careful to keep the looks appropriate for Ohio high schoolers. “This show is not really about fashion, it’s about character,” says Eyrich, who shops for the cast at H&M, Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters. “It’s not like Gossip Girl, where there’s all this great fashion that you would tune in to see.” The only exceptions? “We go a little overboard for things like Gaga, Britney and Madonna, but that’s because, you know, it’s for Gaga, Britney and Madonna.” And, speaking of divas, (spoiler alert!) there might be some more Lady-level costuming ahead: “[New castmember] Charice and Lea Michele do an incredible version of ‘Telephone.’” Click on for more secrets from the set of Glee!

As if we couldn’t be more excited for tomorrow’s season premiere of Glee, EOnline.com reports that one of our favorite (and most stylish) actresses, Gwyneth Paltrow, has signed on to guest star in two episodes. Paltrow will play Mr. Schuester’s (Matthew Morrison) love interest. “Mr Schuester gets sick, so Gywneth’s character steps in and takes over the glee club,” reports EOnline.com. “The kids love her and Will starts to fall for her…complicating his relationship with Emma (Jayma Mays).” Watch out for her Glee-ful debut sometime in November.
We spotted designer Carolina Herrera wearing chic RumbaTime watches twice during Fashion Week! She accessorized her signature white blouse with a bright orange RumbaTime and two gold chain watches (left) for an event celebrating the new Lincoln Center digs, and backstage prior to her Spring 2011 show she wore a subtle gray color that complemented her chic pencil skirt. For only $20 a pop, it’s easy to pull a Carolina and score the digital timepieces in an assortment of colors!
You may remember her as Scarlett Johansson‘s brunette counterpart in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, but you’ll soon know Rebecca Hall both for her performance in The Town and her chic style choices. PeopleStyleWatch.com pointed out today that the actress, who stars alongside Ben Affleck, Jon Hamm and Blake Lively in the new film, has been turning heads on the red carpet as of late. We first took note when Hall wore a stunning turquoise blue Vionnet gown (center) for the film’s debut at the Venice Film Festival. And she wore the French label again, this time choosing a demure black lace number (right), for the London premiere this morning. Another standout choice? The chic red and pink Bottega Veneta dress (left) she wore in Boston last week for the U.S. premiere. For more on the budding style star, check our exclusive fashion spread with Hall in the October issue of InStyle, on newsstands this Friday.

Stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss attended a memorial service for Alexander “Lee” McQueen at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London this morning. Addresses were given by prominent fashion industry leaders like Suzy Menkes and Annabelle Nielson. Icelandic performer Bjork wore angel wings as she sang Gloomy Sunday, and the London Community Gospel choir led the congregation of close friends and family in Amazing Grace, I Vow To Thee My Country. The late British designer took his own life in February of this year.
Katy Perry’s best friend Rihanna pulled out all the stops for her pal’s bachelorette party in Las Vegas over the weekend. First, friends joined the pop star, who is engaged to Russell Brand, at the Hard Rock Hotel Beach Club’s pool. Perry wore a white bikini (she is the bride-to-be after all) and Rihanna chose a sexy metallic maillot. For the evening’s celebrations, the group headed to the MGM Grand, where they ate at Ago and checked out a Cirque du Soleil show. This time Rihanna opted for the all-white ensemble, while Perry chose a sparking black minidress and festive veil. The party went late into the night, ending with a cake delivery for Perry in the group’s Casino Tower suite. Congrats, Katy!
