Let’s hear it for curves! OneStopPlus.com celebrated a variety of shapes by producing the first-ever plus-size-only runway show during New York Fashion Week. Academy Award nominee Gabourey Sidibe (near left) told us how excited she was to attend: “People act like plus-size women don’t buy clothes—we do!” she said. “So for a show like this to happen it really, really shows that we are here. Fashion options for curvy girls are getting much better and it’s nice to see the fashion world finally opening up.”  Designers Zahir Babvani and Galina Monaco—who each sell on the OneStopPlus.com’s Web mall—sent 36 spring trend looks down the runway, from lace and denim pieces to draped dresses. Actresses Nikki Blondsky (“Hairspray”, far left) and KayCee Stroh (“High School Musical”, far right) and plus-size icon Emme (near right) joined Sidibe in the front row as curvaceous models, like Toccarra Jones, a former America’s Next Top Model contestant turned Whilimena model, showed off the looks. “There’s a revolution going on with plus size and the media and I’m glad it’s finally going to pass over to fashion because we want to look cute too!” said Stroh. Click through the gallery below to see key looks from the show, plus all the stars who sat front row!

Lauren Bush Debuts FEED Halloween Bag for HSN

Sep 15, 2010 @ 5:11 pm

Yesterday in a N.Y.C. space covered in cobwebs and candy, FEED co-founders Lauren Bush and Ellen Gustafson celebrated their new Trick-or-Treat bag for HSN, which benefits UNICEF. “Each bag purchased provides a child with micro-nutrient powder for a year. It’s a cute trick-or-treat bag design and even has reflectors!” Bush told us.  ”This is really about addressing malnutrition issues for kids under five,” Gustafson explained. HSN is donating 100% of the proceeds (bags retail for $13.20) to UNICEF. Both founders dressed for the event in Lauren Piece by Lauren Bush eco-friendly designs. As for their New York Fashion Week plans? “We went to Cynthia Rowley—really fun and cute, and Carolina Herrera,” Bush told us. Flat shoes keep her comfortable going from show to show.  “You walk in, and there’s all these women in stilettos and they’re there all day! I don’t know how they do it! “Bush will be live on HSN at 10PM EST September 16th and 17th to debut the FEED Trick-or-Treat Bag, which retails for $13.20.

Blake Lively’s Namesake Louboutins

Sep 15, 2010 @ 10:26 am

While spending part of her summer filming Gossip Girl in Paris, Blake Lively got to stick around for Couture fashion week—and tour Christian Louboutin’s atelier, reports PeopleStyleWatch.com. (The shoe designer also gave Lively a tour of the City of Lights via Vespa.) While visiting Louboutin, the actress fell in love with one of his designs (at left, with Louboutin), saying, “I want to sleep with it under my pillow every night!” So what did the shoe designer do? Name the pair the Blake, naturally. “It was insane,” Lively added. “It’s my greatest accomplishment.” Watch the clip of Lively discussing her new Louboutin after the jump. More
