During a Fashion’s Night Out visit to Destination Maternity, the model mogul recommended that a stylish pregnancy begin with actual maternity clothes. “I tried to fool myself that I could still fit in my regular things,” she said. “You think, ‘Oh yeah, I can make this work’ and then your T-shirt gets shorter and shorter and shorter as your belly gets bigger and bigger and bigger.” In order to show off these new curves, Klum designed a sexy ruched gown for her A Pea in the Pod-sold Lavish collection: “I think it’s beautiful, the body and how it changes when it’s pregnant.” And when in doubt, add a necklace or two: “I always over-accessorized: You accessorize the bump.” Wise words, although most of us would likely opt for a lower heel than Klum’s favorite 5″ Jimmy Choos. “They didn’t bother me,” she said with a shrug.
