Shopping with the Stars at Fashion’s Night Out

Sep 11, 2010 @ 3:12 pm

Last night, stars joined shoppers for Fashion’s Night Out in New York City, where just about every stylish store lining Manhattan (and some of Brooklyn!) featured delicious cocktails, special deals and major celebrity guests. The Olsens judged a Karaoke competitions at Saks, Halle Berry and Jessica Alba kept things classic at Ralph Lauren, Heidi Klum embraced her motherly side at Destination Maternity, while Diane Kruger hung with pal Prabal Gurung (left). Click through our gallery now to find out who was where (and what they wore, of course!)

Stars Stand Up To Cancer

Sep 11, 2010 @ 3:10 pm

A high-wattage lineup of actors, musicians, athletes, and TV personalities joined forces yesterday for the Stand Up To Cancer telethon—held on a sound stage at the Sony lot in L.A. and broadcast on all the major networks last night. Breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate was joined by stars like Renee Zellweger, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sofia Vergara, who proudly donned commemorative T-shirts (some reading “In Memory Of” or “Survivor”) and manned phone banks to help raise money and awareness for cancer research.  Although each celeb we talked to had been personally touched by the disease in some way, what really brought them together was their common goal: “A cure! Raise enough money to get a cure.  I hope that’s everybody’s goal,” said Anne Heche.  Brothers & Sisters’ Dave Annable lightened the mood a bit when he joked, “For me, personally, in the phone bank, I’m aiming to raise $36 to 39 million.  I hope I get Rupert Murdoch as my first caller.” More

Runway Look of the Day: Jason Wu & Doo.ri

Sep 11, 2010 @ 12:33 pm

New York Fashion Week is off to a chic start, forcing me to choose not one, but two looks from yesterday’s collections. Jason Wu‘s bright pink gown was the embodiment of spring—gorgeous color, feminine and a modern take on red carpet dressing (a perfect choice for Diane Kruger, who sat front row at his show). Doo.ri‘s entire collection was clean, soft and beautifully constructed. My favorite look was the cream silk gauze coat and white pant—simple, minimal and chic.
