Happy 9-02-10 Day!

Sep 2, 2010 @ 4:56 pm

Happy 90210 Day! The totally made-up holiday (Today’s date is September 2nd, 2010 – 9-02-10. Get it?), has those of us who are old enough remembering some of our favorite moments from the original ‘90s teen drama, Beverly Hills 90210. As we looked at photos from the series, our nostalgia gave way to a few, “I can’t believe I wore that!” fashion flashbacks. Oh, the baby-doll dresses, scrunchies and high-waisted jeans! Click through our gallery to see Brenda, Brandon and the gang and tell us which questionable trends you rocked back in the day. Donna Martin graduates!

Check what the new cast of 90210 has to say about ’90s fashion trends.

Style icon and fashion designer Victoria Beckham always looks chic, so when we spotted her wearing the same minidress in four different colors, we had to find out who made it. The answer? British label Goat, started ten years ago by designer Jane Lewis. “The simplest things are the absolute hardest to achieve,” Lewis said of her inspiration. “To make luxury look this effortless is hard. We really look at every single detail.”

Glee Costume Designer Dishes on Rachel Berry’s Style

Sep 2, 2010 @ 11:58 am

Although the DVD for Glee Season 1 doesn’t hit shelves till September 13th, we were able to nab a sneak peek from the extras! In the video, Glee‘s costume designer Lou Eyrich talks about the importance of on-set style: “Clothes help define who the person is by something as simple as a skirt length or a shoe they put on.” As far as Lea Michele‘s character, Rachel Berry, goes, she’s “a little bit nerd, fun and colorful,” Eyrich says. Check out Berry’s “hangers full of socks” in the video now, and stay tuned for the season two premiere, airing on September 21st at 8pm EST on Fox, where we hear that the opening number will be a rendition of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’s “Empire State of Mind”!
