After seeing all of the amazing fashion at the Emmys last night, we couldn’t help but wonder: Where do all of the gorgeous gowns go when the last after-party ends? Among the many that are returning gowns to the designers themselves (“I wish it would go back in my closet, but it’s going back to Marchesa,” said Kim Kardashian), a few have other plans. “It’s going in my closet for a while, I’ll take a peek at it every so often,” Christina Hendricks (left) dished to us about her lilac feathered Zac Posen gown. “If we have a daughter one day, she can grace the stage in  it.” Other stars, like Sofia Vergara (right) and George Clooney (center), are taking a charitable approach, donating their gown and tux, respectively, to Clothes Off Our Back, a charity that auctions off celebrity clothes to benefit several children’s organizations. You can bid on Vergara’s gilded Carolina Herrera gown or Clooney’s classic Giorgio Armani tux now!

And the Emmy Goes To…

Aug 30, 2010 @ 10:21 am

Claire Danes, for her title role in the HBO film Temple Grandin! At last night’s Emmys, a slew of old favorites—and a few new ones—took home the coveted statuettes. Winning Outstanding Drama Series was three-peater Mad Men, while newbie Modern Family took home the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series. Jane Lynch helped Glee‘s Emmy count rise to three, nabbing the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress thanks to her role as the scheming cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, while Kyra Sedgwick won her first Emmy (after five consecutive nods) for her portrayal of Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson in The Closer. Edie Falco picked up another statue for her arsenal, but this time it was a comedy award for her role as the harsh, but lovable Nurse Jackie. To see the full list of winners, visit Emmys.com.

January Jones Dishes on Her Versace Gown: “I just felt like a bird!”

Aug 30, 2010 @ 9:25 am

January Jones dazzled in an electric blue Atelier Versace gown with a crinoline hoop skirt at the 2010 Emmy Awards last night, and the Mad Men star gave us the exclusive dish on the arguably most fashion-forward look of the night. “I just felt like a bird. I love it. It’s like a piece of art,” she said, adding that the getting ready process was more calm than crazy. “I just ordered Greek food and watched TV, had a foot rub. I don’t know, I don’t like a lot of stress.” But getting into the dress that she first spied in an Italian fashion magazine a few months back was more of a process. “I had assistance [getting into the dress],” she said. “There’s just two zippers. The corset zip and the outside zip.” Once she got in the gown, she had no trouble walking. “It’s great to walk in because it’s short in the front,” the actress said of her asymmetrical hem. “Turning is a bit tricky! Glee Girls Get Glam!

At last night’s Emmys, we couldn’t help but notice how chic all of our favorite Gleeks looked on the red carpet. Lea Michele (second from right) stunned in a ruffled navy Oscar de la Renta gown, and Jayma Mays (far left) followed suit, pairing her like-colored Burberry Prorsum gown with bold gold accessories. Dianna Agron (far right) kept things sweet in a lacy Carolina Herrera confection and Heather Morris (second from right) glittered in a sequined gold sheath from Ina Soltani. All are certainly a far cry from the cheerleading uniforms and casual clothes these “high school” students normally wear! Want to see what all the Glee girls wore? Click through our gallery now!
