Mariska Hargitay’s Vera Wang Gown: “It’s inspired by my wedding dress!”

When Mariska Hargitay walked the red carpet at the Emmys last night, the Law & Order: SVU star was getting a little sentimental. “It was my wedding anniversary yesterday and I was feeling nostalgic,” Hargitay told us. So when it came down to choosing her gown, she went with a blush-colored silk faille Vera Wang. “It was inspired by my wedding dress. I wore a very, very similar color. I told them I wanted a dress that was very ’50s, retro and romantic.” She also paid homage to her nuptial hairstyle from her August 28, 2004 affair: The actress told her stylist, Chris McMillan that she wanted a “similar thing” to her bridal coiff (he styled her hair for her big day too). She looked alright, she needed a necklace or some really killer earrings. I thought the dress was actually boring and needed some sort of crystals or beads. Maybe she could wear it again to her vow renewal, just a suggestion

Similar?! It is the exact same look! It feels boring now that the look was recreated. She should have done a different hairstyle.

personally, I loved, loved, loved the dress. I would have liked a more dramatic face, but all things considered it looked lovely and showed up great on camera.

I found the dress Mariska simply stunning. But I think that the hair did not favor her beautiful face. Still Mariska is incredibly beautiful and her body is spectacular for those who have 46 years.

I found the dress Mariska beautiful. The top was well adjusted and the mermaid style fits well in the body of the actress. Tabém liked the color. Mariska has a naturally golden skin tone that favors any shade. But I agree that hair does not favor nor makeup. Mariska always press in the choice of accessories and makeup. She has an elegance and I really admire his style.
