These days, fragrance commercials are almost as artistic as the scents they’re promoting. Take, for instance, Chanel’s latest spot for their new men’s fragrance, Bleu De Chanel ($59, chanel.com), directed by none other than Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese. Starring French actor Gaspard Ulliel, the minute-long film follows Ullilel’s infatuation with a beautiful woman from his past (played by Ingrid Schram). We’re not the only ones impressed with Scorsese’s involvement in the project, which was shot in New York City over five days. “It was the last thing I was expecting,” Ulliel said in an interview. “When I found out, I told myself that I was incredibly lucky. It wasn’t a hard decision to make: Chanel, Scorsese, a new fragrance—how could I refuse?” Watch the video, and check out our exclusive behind-the-scenes photographs from the set. Then, tell us in the comments below: Will your man be getting a bottle of Bleu De Chanel based on this rocking commercial?
