The ad campaign describes the line as “Black Magic” (although many styles come in gray, navy and brown), and we can vouch that they really do fit like a dream! After testing out the the Slim Cropped style, our thighs looked lean, our legs long and the waistband was like a built-in corset, erasing any lumps and bumps. Verdict: Bring on the skinny sweaters! Anna Paquin donned a 50-carat diamond stunner for her nuptials to Stephen Moyer over the weekend, accessorizing her white halterneck gown with Neil Lane‘s jeweled bib necklace. “Anna was looking for a special jewel to wear for her wedding day, something romantic and vintage inspired,” the celebrity jeweler told us. And so as not to take away from the serious statement necklace, Paquin kept the rest of her accessories simple: diamond studs (also courtesy of Lane) and her brand-new wedding band, designed by her friend Cathy Waterman. Waterman told us exclusively that “I have been friends with Stephen forever. Watching him fall in love with Anna was magical. He lights up around her…and she glows when he is around. He put such thought and care into the ring that he proposed with…hours looking into stones, looking for the reflection that said ‘Anna’. And he nailed it. I handmade their wedding bands, and seeing them as they walked down the aisle–I knew they were just right.”

Back in 2008, a small art publishing company in N.Y.C. issued 40 silk-screened prints of Michelle Obama designed by artist Mickalene Thomas. Fast-forward almost 2 years and the picture is now on display at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. Part of a new exhibit, “Americans Now,” the First Lady’s portrait is featured alongside famous faces like Tom Hanks, Conan O’Brien and George Clooney. It’s the first time Michelle Obama’s individual portrait has been on display in the Smithsonian-administered gallery. It will be on view through July 2011.

We’ve been pretty much obsessed with LOFT lately—the holiday collection had us lusting after faux fur even in the heat of summer—and now the label counts Demi Lovato as a fan.
