Newly released photos of Marilyn Monroe feature the icon looking more casual and candid than ever. Legendary photojournalist Eve Arnold snapped Monroe on the set of her 1961 film The Misfits, co-starring Clark Gable and directed by her ex-husband Arthur Miller. “[Monroe] liked my pictures and was canny enough to realize that they were a fresh approach for presenting her—a looser, more intimate look than the posed studio portraits she was used to in Hollywood,” Arnold told BBC news. The photographs are currently featured in an exhibition at the Westover Gallery and 495 autographed prints are being sold. Click through the gallery and order your favorite now at westovergallery.co.uk—prices range from $550-$1,000.
