Hilary Duff’s Pre-Wedding Workout

Aug 13, 2010 @ 12:28 pm

Although Hilary Duff always looks great, she’s amped up her workouts with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak to prep for her upcoming nuptials to NHL player Mike Comrie. Pasternak, author of the 5-Factor Diet, told PeopleStyleWatch.com that “the key is to have amazing shoulders, amazing arms. Posture is really important. But it’s also important to have a really tight midsection, you really want it lean and tight.” So what does that entail? Ramping up her cardio, for starters. “Instead of a five-minute cardio warm-up and a five minute cardio cool-down, we extend those phases to 15 minutes,” Pasternak. But diet is also key to Duff’s “toned and tight look,” adds Pasternak. More

EXCLUSIVE: Watch Cat Deeley Get Glam for the SYTYCD Finale!

Aug 13, 2010 @ 12:07 pm

We love Cat Deeley‘s SYTYCD wardrobe as much as dancing on the show and were thrilled when she invited InStyle to take an exclusive peek at her behind the scenes, getting camera-ready. Her two finale looks—a lacy LBD covered in paillettes by Jenny Packham and a voluminous peach tulle dress from J. Mendel—were wildly different, but equally gorgeous. “I want to go from a Dolce & Gabbana, Madonna[-inspired] look to more ‘La Dolce Vita’. Think fountains, think ice cream,” she tells her glam squad as they hover around magazine tears and Web images for inspiration. Watch her get finale-ready above and check out the on-stage outcome after the jump!

See all of Cat Deeley’s SYTYCD style this season.

Cat Deeley (right) arrived at the bash (after having just wrapped up the live finale of So You Think You Can Dance!) in a gorgeous J. Mendel dress and headed straight for our photo booth to mug for the camera. As guests like Michelle Trachtenberg, Amber Heard and Shenae Grimes soaked up the outdoor vibe, we asked them to tell us what they did on their summer vacations. Linda Evangelista’s Talbots Ads Revealed!

Aug 13, 2010 @ 10:23 am

Talbot‘s iconic red door isn’t the only thing the retailer is changing to attract a younger costumer (their average is 68 years old)—they’ve hired supermodel Linda Evangelista to show off their super sleek Fall 2010 collection. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Evangelista models the brand’s fresh take on traditional classics: a must-have leopard coat (right), a chic red suit, a double-breasted camel coat and an embellished shift dress. “We feel she represents a successful woman that speaks to 40-plus-year-old women,” CEO Trudy Sullivan told WWD. “This is Talbots’ moment of profound change.” Click through the gallery below to see all of Evangelista’s ads for Talbots.
