Kristen Bell Dishes on Going Brunette for Burlesque

Kristen Bell has crossed over to the dark side! In the upcoming movie musical Burlesque, co-starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, Bell covered up her blond locks and summoned her inner vixen. “When I had the wig on I didn’t even recognize myself in the mirror. I felt like another person,” the actress told us of playing Nikki, a jealous dancer plotting to destroy her biggest rival, played by Aguilera. “Now I’m over being blond. If I’m well received as a brunette in Burlesque then maybe I’ll go brunette [in real life]!” While the actress says her movie makeover (which also includes barely-there costumes and some sultry moves she picked up during three months of dance training) helped her get into character, she denies that there were any real divas on the set. “In most of the scenes Christina and I had together we’re bitchy to each other, but it was hard for us to keep a straight face,” she said. “We got along so well that it was hard for me to be mean to her!” Click through our gallery for more photos from the film and watch the trailer after the jump!

Zoe Kravitz New Face of T by Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang has asked his friend (and rock and roll heir) Zoe Kravitz to star in the Fall ad campaign for T, his ultra-soft, ultra-cool basics line. The young actress is a fan of Wang’s designs and was escorted by the designer at this year’s Met Ball wearing a custom creation he did for the Gap (left). But don’t expect to see the campaign debut in any magazine: According to WWD, the ads, in which Kravitz models alongside Max Motto, will be revealed in old-fashioned poster form on the streets of New York City this Thursday.

Alexa Chung’s newest ads for Pepe Jeans just debuted and the budding British style icon looks effortlessly chic. Looking one part sweet schoolgirl in collegiate cardigans and plaid skirts and another part hipster in edgy leather jackets and denim button-downs, the former MTV host models the Fall 2010 collection alongside male models Jon Kortajarena and Gaspard Menier. Lea Michele Does Britney for Glee

We already reported that Glee is set to do a Britney Spears-themed episode this fall. And although we’re not sure if Britney is actually making a cameo herself, it looks like Lea Michele will step into Spears’ shoes—literally! We spotted Michele on the set of Glee in L.A. looking like Brit’s doppleganger in a costume from the “Hit Me Baby One More Time” video. And with rumors circulating that Matthew Morrison is going to shave his head a la Britney Spears 2007, we already can’t wait for the episode to air.

UPDATE: It’s official! Britney Spears will appear on Glee, according to People.com. “Britney, I think 100%, is going to be the episode,” creator Ryan Murphy told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show yesterday.

Levi’s Debuts Jeans to Fit Your Shape, Not Your Size

Levi’s is launching a new line of jeans, Levi’s Curve ID, that boasts a new fit system specially designed to accommodate women’s curves. “Since we created our first women’s jeans 75 years ago, no one has changed the formula for finding the perfect fit,” said Yogen Nguyen, Levi’s senior vice president of women’s merchandising and design. “Our revolutionary approach looks beyond just waist size to address the true curves of a woman’s entire body.” The brand studied more than 60,000 body scans to come up with three new custom fits that will cover the body types of approximately 80 percent of women around the world (a fourth fit will be available in December): Slight Curve (for straight figures, especially those who find that jeans which fit in their hips and thighs are too tight in the waist), Demi Curve (for “even” proportions) and Bold Curve (for women who often experience gapping at the waist in jeans that otherwise fit well.) The line will hit Levi’s stores nationwide this summer, and a digital fitting room will soon be available on levi.com to help shoppers decide which Curve ID is best for them.

Vanessa Hudgens & Nicole Scherzinger Wow in Rent Reprise

Vanessa Hudgens and Nicole Scherzinger wowed crowds in a production of the iconic bohemian musical Rent at L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl over the weekend. Directed by Neil Patrick Harris, Hudgens, who played drug addict vixen Mimi, and Scherzinger, starring as the bisexual performance artist Maureen, sang their way through the 3-show run to rave reviews. “Readin sum of the tweets, thanku so much for the support w/ Rent, I feel blessed & luv that I cn just B free on stage, thanky 4 going thr w/ me,” former Pussycat Doll Scherzinger tweeted in response to all her fans. The musical, which also featured Gossip Girl‘s Aaron Tveit and Spring Awakening’s Skylar Austin, has no more shows scheduled, but you can watch Scherzinger’s seriously amazing performance of “Take Me of Leave Me” after the jump and click through the gallery below to see more shots from the star-studded show! David Beckham on Victoria’s Style: “I love her dressed down in flip flops and jeans”

David Beckham attended last night’s Teen Choice Awards because he was nominated for Choice Male Athlete. But on the red carpet, his wife Victoria was the hot topic. “She looks amazing dressed up,” the soccer star told InStyle, “but dressed down with flip-flops and jeans, I love her. She looks great both ways.” Becks said his fashion advice stops there, and went on to dispel the rumors that Posh had tapped him to help design her new men’s collection. “No, she doesn’t need me,” he explained. Then he continued to shower his wife of 11 years with compliments. “She is an amazing mother. That is one of the most attractive things about Victoria.” And it turns out that the world-famous couple isn’t above spending a little quality time in front of the television. Glee, David reports, is a favorite. “Victoria loves the show,” he said.
