Get Michelle Obama’s Moschino on Gilt Groupe Now!

Aug 2, 2010 @ 5:12 pm

We’ve been following Michelle Obama‘s style since she hit the campaign trail in 2008, so we’re well aware of her penchant for Moschino‘s bright artistic floral prints. Now several of the styles she’s worn are for sale on Gilt Groupe: The Cotton Floral Print Jacket in Pink Multi is selling for $499 (normally $1,480) and the matching skirt is going for $299 (normally $745). Other printed styles that would probably earn Mrs. O’s seal of approval are available as well. But hurry—the sale ends tomorrow!

Now lingerie giant Maidenform has asked Bryant to appear in a viral ad campaign to promote some of their favorite curve-enhancing shapewear on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and maidenform.com. And while the details of Maidenform’s campaign are yet to be revealed, this ’60s-era ad from the brand’s archives (how Joan!) proves that Bryant is the perfect pick for the project.

Kim Kardashian to Design Fine Jewelry

Aug 2, 2010 @ 3:28 pm

As if launching her own scent and co-designing a swimsuit collection and a line for Bebe with her sisters wasn’t enough, reality star Kim Kardashian has another fashionable project in the works: the Kim Kollection, a 20-piece line of fine jewelry co-created with Loren Ridinger of Loren Jewels. Although the collection, supposedly chock full of diamonds, emeralds and rubies, won’t debut till this fall, Kardashian wore a pair earrings from the collection at the annual Fifi Awards this past June.

Lauren Conrad Announces New Clothing Line

Aug 2, 2010 @ 2:10 pm

Lauren Conrad debuted her first signature line back in 2007 and most recently teamed up with Kohl’s on the successful LC by Lauren Conrad Collection, and now she’s taken her design repertoire to the next level—announcing plans to debut a contemporary fashion line with her best friends. But don’t expect the new line to have the same look—or pricing—as her Kohl’s collection. Conrad told PeopleStyleWatch.com the women’s line will have “more specialty basics, [it will be] more of a boutique line.  It will be at a higher price point.” The collection is still in the beginning stages, but we’re sure Conrad’s hard work (and stylish eye) will pay off: “There is a little more thrill is doing it on your own. It’s a lot more work, it’s a lot more stressful, but it’s something I love doing.”

Tonight marks the end of Ali Fedotowsky’s journey as The Bachelorette —and after an earlier makeover by InStyle fashion director Hal Rubenstein, it’s no surprise that the reality star will look incredibly chic at the final rose ceremony. Fedotowsky chose an Alberto Makali champagne silk chiffon gown with a weaved bodice and crystal detailing that she customized by removing the original straps. The designer told us, “For someone with such a difficult task of choosing among numerous bachelors, to see [Ali] wear an Alberto Makali gown at the final ceremony is quite a privilege.” Here’s how you can make Fedotowsky’s easy glam style work for you. Victoria Beckham Hires Husband David to Design?

Aug 2, 2010 @ 11:55 am

Hot celebrity designer Victoria Beckham, whose dresses have been worn by everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to Jennifer Hudson, is launching a menswear line and has reportedly tapped her stylish husband to design it. David Beckham, who’s known as much for his flair for fashion as he is for his soccer skills, will be in charge of a full range of men’s couture, including tailored suits, sharp day wear and evening looks. “Victoria has been trying to persuade him to do it for a while and he’s finally succumbed. She’s reassured him that he has an eye for fashion,” a source told the Daily Star. The line is set to launch in the spring of 2011.
