Celebrities Love to Sip NeuroDrinks

Jul 28, 2010 @ 12:45 pm

Now that bikini season is in full swing, everyone is looking for the latest quick fix to help them look their best. One new option? NeuroTrim, one of the seven beverages from the complete line of NeuroDrinks. The slightly fizzy formulas have been spotted in the hands of “It” girls like Ashley Greene, Kate Hudson and Hayden Panettiere–and whatever they’re doing, it’s certainly working! The NeuroTrim formula relies on a unique Japanese fiber to help you feel fuller longer–and it’s totally safe (and in this case, editor tested). If only the drink could land us a leading role in the next big Hollywood blockbuster.

In her first-ever ad campaign, nothing is coming between Zoe Saldana and her Calvins. Calvin Klein Underwear called on the Avatar star to represent it’s new Envy line; the brand’s latest crop of unmentionables promises to provide “the most minimal coverage for a sleek, sexy look,” as the label said in a statement. And Saldana agrees, telling WWD that “[Calvin Klein Envy] helps you, it assists you, but it will not overshadow what you can bring naturally.” Perhaps, but we only wish we could start out with all of Saldana’s amazing assets! Chelsea to Wed in Vera, Hillary to Wear Oscar?

Jul 28, 2010 @ 10:16 am

There’s been no shortage of rumors about which legendary bridal designer has taken on the task of designing Chelsea Clinton‘s wedding dress. But a pair of N.Y.C. sightings have started the mill churning again. Yesterday afternoon, the soon-to-be Mrs. Mevinzsky was spotted en route to Vera Wang‘s showroom, wearing a super-floppy hat to avoid prying eyes—and to cover, as WWD reported, her perfectly coiffed hair and flawless makeup (a trial run, perhaps, for the big day?). Hillary met her daughter at Wang’s, having come from her own appointment at Oscar de la Renta. The Secretary of State is known to admire the designer (she wore one of his gowns to the Inaugural Ball in 2008). And although Chelsea wasn’t seen at de la Renta’s showroom yesterday, both she and her mother have reportedly visited both bridal designers on several occasions. It’s possible that Chelsea has taken on the two-dress trend and will wear one designer’s dress to the ceremony and the other to the reception, but our guess is that Mama Clinton is wearing Oscar and that Chelsea will embody the all-American bride in Vera. What do you think Chelsea will wear for her nuptials this Saturday? Tell us in the comments section below!

Jul 28, 2010 @ 9:57 am

We told you when Taylor Momsen was confirmed as the face of Madonna and daughter Lordes “Lola” Leon’s new fashion line, Material Girl. Now we’ve gotten our hands on pictures from the shoot–including a few exclusive behind-the-scenes photos. In a statement, the pop icon explained her reason for choosing Momsen, saying “Taylor has a cool sense of style that’s unique and fits with the Material Girl look.” The line, which will be available exclusively at Macy’s, will be launched with a live performance by Momsen herself on August 3rd at the department store’s Herald Square location in New York;  Madonna and Lourdes will make their own appearance at the store on September 22nd.  Momsen, who is currently performing on the Vans Warped Tour with her band The Pretty Reckless, has been known to rock some seriously edgy ensembles–making her the ideal girl to represent the rocker chic pieces that compose the line. Gossip Girl’s Signature Styles

Jul 27, 2010 @ 5:06 pm

Spotted: Gossip Girl‘s favorite fashionistas filming on New York’s Upper West Side. What struck us about the most recent batch of photos from the set was that each character has really stayed true to her trademark look for the past few seasons. For example: Blair Waldorf is looking as put together as ever in a chic belted shirtdress paired with Miu Miu platform heels and a to-die-for structured Celine handbag. And then there’s resident bohemian Vanessa, rocking on-trend tap shorts with a printed blouse that clashes in perfect harmony. Click through our gallery to see more of the cast’s latest styles.

Bethenny Frankel’s Beauty Secrets

Jul 27, 2010 @ 2:37 pm

As most of you already know, Bethenny Frankel—star of Bravo’s insanely successful Bethenny Getting Married?—isn’t one to feel self-conscious. But that doesn’t mean she isn’t conscientious—especially when it comes to her beauty routine. This 39-year-old new mommy wore high heels and mini-dresses for most of her pregnancy. Her secret for avoiding cankels? “SPONGE Skincare Anti-Fatigue Leg Cream! It helped my legs feel invigorated and less swollen. I think showing a little leg during pregnancy is sexy, but not if you’re limping around,” she told us. She’s also a fan of the line’s Lavender Aromatherapy Mist: “Right after a bath when I’m winding down for bed the lavender scent really quiets everything down.” We’ll take one of each—along with a Skinnygirl Margarita, of course.
