FredFlare.com Celebrates Nancy Drew’s 80th Anniversary

Online retailer Fred Flare has decided to celebrate the 80th birthday of the Nancy Drew series by posting a “serialized fashion mystery.” For the past several weeks, the staff at the dotcom has been building the plot of a (very fashionable) mystery with daily blog posts as an homage to the beloved adolescent detective. Cute, coordinated outfits complement each clue, and of course, each piece of is made available for purchase with the convenient “shop this scene” feature. While you’re on the site, don’t forget to shop their to-die-for deals on trendy wardrobe updates and home furnishings.

Super Sexy Jeans Alert! Gap Denim Goes Skintight

Last August, Gap unveiled their revamped 1969 Premium Jeans collection, which showcased updated, super-chic fits like Always Skinny, Sexy Boot, and Real Straight. Now, the company is reinterpreting those styles with new rinses and details, like bleached wash (far left), rolled-up cuffs with bird graphics (second from right), and cropped skinny jeans with ankle zips (far right). They’re also introducing their sexiest style yet: The Legging (second from left) is new for Fall 2010 and boasts a curve-hugging cut that we can’t wait to check out. It seems that Gap is committed to keeping us “forever in blue jeans,” and we don’t mind a bit.

Leighton Meester’s Beauty Must-Haves

For Gossip Girl‘s poshest star, happiness can be simply defined with minimal makeup and wild hair. While her character Blair Waldorf may love pricey blowouts and designer cosmetics, Leighton Meester told InStyle (in our August issue, on stands now) that “in my normal life, I don’t even really wear makeup. I’ll just use a little cheek stain, curl my lashes, and put on some lip balm and sunscreen.” When the Herbal Essences spokesmodel isn’t working, she tries to “treat her hair with kindness because it takes so much abuse!
