Last weekend, a mix of British and American stars and socialites headed to Surrey, England to celebrate at Cartier’s International Polo Party. And we love seeing them in their summertime best! Both Cat Deeley (who is always fashion-forward on SYTYCD) and Leslie Mann opted to wear flowing, printed designs (Deeley’s was vintage, Mann’s Louis Vuitton) to the polo match, while Camilla Belle kept things crisp in white (with just a dash of color). Geri Halliwell broke the party’s casual fashion mold by sporting a skin-tight, figure-flattering Herve Leger minidress. The highlight of the event (besides the match)? The traditional afternoon tea, of course.

See more from this week’s hottest parties.

Scarlett’s New Do: The Choppy Bob

Jul 26, 2010 @ 4:05 pm

This weekend, Scarlett Johansson attended Comic Con (looking stunning in an all-black Dolce & Gabbana pantsuit) to reveal her new role as the Black Widow in the upcoming flick The Avengers. But she also revealed something else–her brand new locks! She transformed her signature long strands into a center-parted, slightly rumpled long bob, and we love it. The style is relaxed, youthful and a fabulous juxtaposition to the serious suit she rocked while touting her latest gig. But Johansson isn’t the first to lop off her locks: It appears that several celebrities are forgoing their former styles in favor of the LOB (read: long bob). What do you think of Johansson’s latest look? Tell us in the comments section below!

Taylor Momsen‘s career has sky-rocketed since her debut as Little J on our favorite fashionable series, Gossip Girl. The blonde actress/singer/model has gone on to tour with her band, the Pretty Reckless, while landing several major fashion campaigns–we recently learned that she’d be the star of  Madonna and daughter Lourdes’ new ads for their Material Girl Collection; now we hear that Momsen has inked a deal to be the face of of John Galliano’s yet-unnamed scent for Fall 2010. Although details of the perfume are being kept mum, we figure she’s an ideal choice for the fragrance: Both Galliano and Momsen are known for their outrageous fashion and beauty choices. Regardless, we can’t wait to hear more about the perfume. Can you? Tell us in the comments section below!

Red Carpet Report: Comic Con 2010

Jul 26, 2010 @ 10:43 am

Comic Con is known for its geeky appeal (think: costumes, comic books, toys, and loads of pop-culture memorabilia). But this weekend, the stars turned the four-day festival into a veritable runway: A-listers such as Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson and Blake Lively were all in attendance to promote their new films. Eva Mendes, there to talk about The Other Guys, rocked a strapless gleaming metallic minidress; Children’s Hospital star Lake Bell went casual, pairing a paper-thin tissue tee with sleek dark jeans. Click through our gallery to see all of Comic Con’s stylish celebrities, and then tell us who you think looks best in the comments section below.
