Last night, Jennifer Aniston (in a strapless nude Valentino) hit the fashionable U.K. department store Harrod’s to launch her first-ever signature scent. “I wanted this fragrance to be a personal library of scent memories,” the star said in a press release. “For example, my love of night blooming jasmine has lasted a lifetime. Growing up in California, I distinctly remember the scent of the jasmine on summer evenings.” Although Aniston has discussed her inspiration for the scent (and why it was such a labor of love), she’s stayed tight-lipped on the subject of the perfume’s actual name. So there’s been much speculation as to why she chose to stick with her own sobriquet after first considering calling it Lolavie; we’re thinking that despite the “personal…and special significance” of the old name, it might have been too easily confused with Marc Jacobs’s Lola.
