Diane Von Furstenberg Dresses Radio City Rockettes for Life Ball

The Radio City Rockettes kicked up their heels in Diane von Furstenberg-designed wrap rompers (emblazoned with her “Love is Life” print and topped with lip-shaped pill box hats) at amfAR’s Life Ball benefit in Vienna this week. The 24-woman troupe performed for the likes of Bill Clinton, Francisco Costa, Rebecca Romijn and, of course, the lovely von Furstenberg, who also served as their city guide—the designer took them on a private tour of the Belvedere Museum’s Klimt collection. The outing’s dress code? Iconic DVF wrap dresses, naturally. “There is nothing more New York than the Radio City Rockettes,” said von Furstenberg, posing with the wet ensemble, who didn’t let thunderstorms dampen their kicks—the show must go on!

Nastia Liukin Debuts Supergirl for JCPenney

After Nastia Liukin won gold at the 2008 Olympics she didn’t go to Disney World, she went to New York Fashion Week! Now, the style-obsessed gymnast (who served as the face of BCBG MaxAzria’s Spring 2009 collection) is set to debut the Supergirl by Nastia clothing line, which hits JCPenney stores nationwide tomorrow. “I’ve always been into fashion, but when I was training seven hours a day, six days a week there was just no time to pursue it,” Liukin told us. “And everything moves so fast in the fashion industry!” The collection of dance wear, dresses and super-girly pieces like leggings and shrug tops is aimed at the back-to-school set. “My fan base is mostly young girls and I wanted to use the line to inspire them,” Liukin explained. “At the Olympics I did my routine on the uneven bars to the song ‘Supergirl’ by Saving Jane and when it came time to name the collection, I thought, ‘What better way to feel empowered than to wear the Supergirl shield on your clothing?’” More

Hillary Clinton Won’t Spill About Chelsea’s Wedding

Secretary of State Clinton isn’t dishing about her daughter’s upcoming nuptials. “My lips are sealed,” she told NBC’s Andrea Mitchell in a Today Show segment this morning. “I am under very strict orders not to talk about it.” The rumor mill may suggest a Vera Wang gown and a guest list that includes Oprah and Obama, but the mother of the bride will only say that the event will be very Chelsea. “The people who are coming are her friends and the people who are meaningful in her life,” the Secretary of State said. Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian, who’ve already designed a collection for Bebe together—are now taking a stab at swimwear. The sisters sat front row at Miami Swim Fashion Week to watch the debut of Kardashians for Beach Bunny swimwear. “All glammed up for the Beach Bunny in Miami with Kourtney and Khloe,” Kim wrote on her official Web site. Carrie Underwood’s Spectacular Wedding Gown(s)!

Ready for some dress details? Underwood entrusted Monique Lhuillier with creating a pair of custom creations fit for a Nashville princess and, believe us, the designer did not disappoint. The gown for the ceremony (which was worn with a 40-carat Johnathon Arndt tiara) combined a Chantilly lace corset with a lavish full skirt and train covered in handmade crystal-encrusted silk organza flowers. “The wedding dress was huge,” she told People. “I wanted to get my boogie on, so I had to change.” Boogie she did in a bejeweled minidress with a frayed organza skirt paired with a ban.do feathered headband. Now on her Tahitian honeymoon, Underwood is skipping the couture in favor of newlywed-appropriate bikinis. We’re guessing husband Mike Fisher approves!
