Now that Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher (excuse us, Mr. & Mrs. Fisher) are honeymooning across the world in Bora Bora, more details about their gorgeous Southern nuptials are being spilled—including exclusive pictures of the ceremony and glowing bride in this week’s People (left). Underwood looks like a modern day princess on the cover, part in fact due to the sparkling custom-made Johnathon Arndt—the same jeweler responsible for her engagement and wedding ring—tiara that she accessorized her Monique Lhuillier lace gown with. But the country star had good times in mind too when she opted for a shorter, strapless Lhuillier design for the reception: “The wedding dress was huge,” Underwood tells People. “I wanted to get my boogie on, so I had to change. We can’t wait to get a look at more photos of the stunning bride!

Carrie is absolutely stunning. I am so happy for her and her new hubby and wish them much happiness and many blessings. Carrie has been my role model (my Mom and Dad are first) since her days on Idol. She continues to amaze me that even though she is very famous she has maintained her morals and deep faith and is so grounded. She is a very giving classy lady , who through her giving back ways, have inspired me and my friends to go the the children’s hospital and visit the kids and we have raised money for Haiti and other areas. We love her for that—because she has taught us that in giving back we gain so much more. She is one of a kind and thank God he sent her to us. We love her!!!!!

I completely agree with Sami (previous post). I wish children had more role models like Carrie Underwood. She is truly an inspiration, and I am thrilled for her! Her parents raised her well!!! To see someone who has had so much success continue to be so grounded and true to herself is so refreshing! Congratulations, Carrie and Mike! You deserve all the happiness in the world!
