As if we weren’t jealous enough of Vanessa Paradis for snagging Johnny Depp, we now have one more reason: Depp recently purchased Paradis a pair of Marilyn Monroe’s shoes—vintage Ferragamos, at that. Paradis reportedly has an affinity for the star, saying “Monroe’s someone who touches me really deeply. I truly admire both the actress and singer that she was. I love ‘Lazy’ and so many of her songs. She had a velvety voice.” And with shoes belonging to Monroe being auctioned off for approximately $42,000 ten years ago, we would bet Depp’s gift cost him a pretty penny. Not that we’d complain if he got us a pair either.
