Yves Saint Laurent’s Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign featuring model Daria Werbowy has arrived, and we’re loving the dark-yet-glamorous shots. Not to mention the chic bell-sleeve dress that Werbowy is wearing; it’s perfectly offset by the heavy metal chain necklace and those covetable platform pumps. What do you think of the new ad? Victoria Beckham Celebrates Net-A-Porter’s 10th Anniversary

Jul 8, 2010 @ 1:03 pm

Net-A-Porter continued its 10th anniversary celebration—having already announced plans to give some lucky (and creative) fans Miu Miu pumps and a Burberry trench. Last night, the online retailer threw a lavish fete in London which doubled as as the opening party for the site’s new offices. Victoria Beckham, Gemma Arterton, and a slew of top designers including Christopher Bailey, Christopher Kane and Roland Mouret sipped champagne with Net-A-Porter.com’s founder and chairman, Natalie Massenet (pictured, right, with Antonio Berardi and Beckham). Guests were given the chance to pose for their own custom “Net-A-Porter.com homepage” in the company’s studios, and this week’s Net-a-porter magazine is a special anniversary issue; it features a whirlwind tour of key fashion moments from the past decade. Here’s to ten more years of fabulous fashion at our fingertips.

Roberto Cavalli has taken on the task of designing Shakira’s costume for the 2010 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony concert, and the preview sketch does not disappoint: The singer will shake her (non-lying) hips in a custom silk-fringed skirt with a floral motif, a denim belt studded with pearls, a tulle top embroidered with (more) multi-colored pearls, and leather bracelets decorated with silk floral appliques while she performs the game’s official song “Waka-Waka” in Johannesburg Sunday.

We already told you about the new Burberry Beauty line; now it’s time to check out the gorgeous ad campaign. The photographs, which were shot by Mario Testino, feature models (left to right) Lily Donaldson, Nina Porter and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (who’s shooting Transformers 3 right now). And, just as the label kept the makeup line’s palette subtle and natural, the ads have a beautiful simplicity to them as well. Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey told WWD that they “wanted the campaign to be completely iconic, and the girls to be wearing really classic yet modern-fitting trenchcoats.” Now we’re only wondering if our favorite new lipstick will come with a trench. (We can hope!) Click through the gallery to see the rest of the photographs.
