Burberry‘s building on the buzz generated by its recent fashion show (which was digitally broadcast in 3D to locations around the world) with an interactive global campaign for Fall 2010. Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey calls the innovative ad a veritable “extension of the runway shows.” The tech-saavy London-based fashion house hopes to bring customers closer to their latest collection via a video starring Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley; fashion lovers can rotate, pause, and click to buy all of their favorite pieces. Debuting at the same time as the digital campaign are the Fall 2010 print ads, which also star Huntington-Whiteley (who just snagged a leading role in Transformers 3), alongside actor Douglas Booth and musicians Gwilym Gold, Rory Cottam and Samuel Fry. All of the “models” are seen wearing iconic Burberry items including shearling-lined jackets, navy trench coats and supple leather handgbags.
