ok, so where are the real WOMEN, “Top 10 Slimming Swimsuits” in my opinion, not one MODEL appears to be over 12 not to mention over size 4 . Not to mention a couple bathing suits actually look too big for the model!!!

People who complain about models’ sizes really annoy me. Their JOB is to model the swimsuit – to sell it. Let’s face it; none of us is going to buy a swimsuit that doesn’t even flatter the model, and if you read an article about “slimming” swimsuits, it’s safe to say you want to see someone looking thin. Most of the comments about the suits are true and are true on heavier women as well – but they sell better when worn by slender women.

Plus, it’s insulting to say that these women are not “real” women (or even real people!) because they’re thin. You don’t know anything about this girl other than that she looks pretty in a bathing suit – don’t put her down to make yourself feel better about your own appearance.

I came here to find a suit to “flatter my figure” which needs slimming…I am 54 yrs.old, weigh 145 lb and I’m 5’2—-a bit chunky and clunky. I have to laugh at your models….what a joke… how can you show suits that slim when all your models are size ZERO—-I dare you to take a picture of me in a suit that would do what you say your suits will do—make me look slimmer and hide my stomach!

Your an idiot. There job in this article is to sell a swimwuit to someone who is curvy and there is a stick sinny girl with the suit on. It’s ignorant period. It doesn’t make me feel any better that that poor girl is being pressured by the industry to be a size zero at 5 foot 11 either. The girl has A cups if that and I have double D’s. There is a such thing as “plus-size” models; if these people expect women who are concerned about their weight to buy these overpriced suits, then it pays to show off what these suits can or cannot do. I would never pay for these suits. They’re too expensive, and they’re ugly. It’s false advertisement; I’m not convinced that they “do the trick” if they’re modeled by underweight women.

This article is a joke & an insult! These models don’t need slimming – a potato sack would look good on them, come on! You want to show us swimsuits to flatter OUR figures, how about you show people with OUR figures wearing them? Oh, what’s that? You can’t? Because a fat lady in a swimsuit is a fat lady in a swimsuit! It’s a swimsuit – there isn’t that much there to start with, so how can it slim or flatter anything on a larger person?

The prices on these suits are a joke too! The cheapest one is $40! $230 for the most expensive one shown. Who’s got that kind of money to throw away on a freaking bathing suit? If you do have that kind of money to waste, you can probably afford a personal trainer to get you in shape so you don’t have to worry about getting one of these so-called “slimming” bathing suits…

These kind of articles just disgust me & make me sick! Are we as a society really so disgusting & shallow? No wonder we can’t find a cure for anything or fix the environment or take care of any of the real issues facing the world. We’re too busy fooling around worrying about bathing suits!

Suddenly last Summer is my choice because it has shape and style that is more complimentary to all figures. It was also more supportive.

Just because the model has a skirt style bottom does not mean the swimsuit “slims”. It may be hiding some areas, but “slimming”? Show a real woman, with real needs for a slimming bathing suit.

When will the fashion industry realize that women want to see clothing that is modeled by women and not stick thin teenagers. I was interested in the article to see what might flatter my own curves when I saw all the models to be thin and curve-less. I wish those in the industry would wake up and look around, size 2 is not the norm , look around and see all the curves and the double Ds.

The best place to shop for a suit is Everything but Water….they helped my daughter (size 18) find several one/two-piece suits that were beautiful fits on her! They were a bit pricey but they outlasted many other suits she has worn over the years (she has worn them for 3 years now). If you have a swimsuit boutique type of store, go there and get fitted-it will be worth it! They carry suits from many designers made for any body type AND the women can fit your body type. A well-fitting suit can make you look so much lighter!

I agree completely with Megan. Eileen IS a idiot! My once hourglass figure is now overflowing at top and bottom. Why can’t someone out there design suits for women that actually have something that needs slimming?
