Ever since we heard that Madonna is co-designing a juniors clothing line with her thirteen-year-old daughter Lourdes, we’ve been dying to see what the super-stylish duo would dream up. So we were thrilled to get a sneak peek at the sketches for the Fall 2010 collection from  Material Girl. The super-cute ensembles we saw mixed both fierce and feminine elements—like a tutu dress paired with studded combat boots, or a floral mini topped with a boyfriend sweatshirt—and the printed and embellished basics are making us eager to see if we can still squeeze into a size 11. Material Girl will be sold exclusively at Macy’s and on macys.com and hits shelves August 3rd. Check out the teaser ad in the gallery, and tell us what you think of  Material Girl in the comments section below!

A bit too ‘grown’ for most juniors. It looks more like club wear for young adults.

I agree that these designs look too mature for very young teen girls. In my opinion, they’re really nothing special. Thought the brand name Material Girl was clever though.

Take a hike M*donna, you’re definitely over the hill. Manage your spiritual life first, get in depth counselling for the next 3 decades or so, let someone else raise your kids, and nurse your wrinkles. You’re overcooked pasta, Lady Gaga is in, you’re out. There’s no reinventing yourself anymore. Say nighty night now!

..i wonder what age they are catering to…..looks very mature for young teen girls….i’ll take a pass on purchasing these items for any young teen….btw….i wonder if Madonna would let Lourdes wear these clothes….she seems to dress her age appropriately…..i highly doubt she would allow Lourdes to dress in her own line of clothing……

Lady Gaga is just recycling what Madonna has already done. In fact, Gaga recycles what many other artists have already done. Her music is a rip off of other songs and there’s nothing groundbreaking or revolutionary about her except how everyone seems to forget that what she puts out all existed pre-2008. Talk about an overrated attention wh*re.

Haven’t you learned anything over the past 30 years? Madonna isn’t going away and she will continue to influence other artists along the way and be mimicked.

I saw more of the items featured in the line than the ones presented in the sketches and there’s definitely a range for different ages and tastes. It’s definitely very Lourdes, somewhat 80s, somewhat early Madonna, and very rock with an element of dance.

As the mother of a 14 year old girl – there is NO way these designs are for teens. First of all, the designs are not original or interesting. More important is the issue of over-sexualized teens. Bustier’s? Club dresses? Please Madonna! Save it!

I agree with Elle-the styles really seem to appeal to a broad range of tastes.I personally love the sketches and wish Madonna and her daughter the very best with their fashion line.

The design for your blog may be a bit off in Galeon. nonetheless I like your web web site. I’ll have to be compelled to install a “normal” browser simply to get pleasure from it. :)

You actually make it seem really easy with your presentation but I in finding this topic to be actually something which I think I would by no means understand. It kind of feels too complicated and very extensive for me. I am looking ahead on your subsequent publish, I’ll try to get the hold of it!
