She’s known for her bold red-carpet style, but in the emotionally charged drama I Am Love, which hits select theaters today, Tilda Swinton adopts a more classic look for her role. Set in Milan, the film generated buzz in the fashion world when Jil Sander’s Raf Simons took on the project. Says the Belgain designer: “The clothing perfectly defines Tilda’s character [Emma], a woman who longs to break out of her world of superficial perfection.” The British actress gave us her take on the collaboration: “Through the use of color, Emma stands apart as a potentially rogue element, a molten spirit, but still makes sense within the milieu. Simons’s sense of color is supersonic, bright as a daisy.
