Last month we told you about an oddly stylish pairing—hair and hosiery—that is being used to make booms to clean up oil in the Gulf of Mexico, and how nonprofit organization Matter of Trust is in need of cash donations to help transport the oil-absorbing booms. We got an update from the charity’s president, Lisa Gautier, and so far InStyle.com readers have helped to raise $7,700 for the cause. Gautier’s promise to personally match monetary donations dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000 still stands, and while hair and hose are being donated in substantial amounts, they still need financial aid. “The movement is better than we ever imagined but we still need the funds to transport the booms,” she said. To donate to this amazing charity, visit matteroftrust.org.

Saludos,

Lorena Esquivel de Juanes
