A similar design can now be purchased at Gap’s newly-launched N.Y.C. concept store (dedicated to CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winners). For the limited-edition pop-up, which also stocks accessories by Monique Pean and menswear by Patrik Ervell, Theallet created a near-copy of Mrs. Obama’s breezy dress—the color of the skirt’s stripes and the lightweight cotton fabric are among the differences from the original—in both white and black for a more accessible $248. Fans of Theallet’s feminine touches will also appreciate her other wallet-friendly Gap creations: a summer-ready ruffle-front dress ($248), a tie-front blouse ($148) and a tiered skirt ($198).
