Naomi Campbell’s Million-Dollar B-Day Bash

Naomi Campbell celebrated the start of her fifth decade in style on Friday, at a million-dollar birthday bash in Cannes. The party—which was paid for by the supermodel’s Russian oligarch boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin—was held at the exclusive Hotel du Cap, and the fashionable guest list included Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Domenico Dolce, Stefano Gabanna and Topshop owner Philip Green; entertainment was provided by the Black Eyed Peas, Grace Jones, and DJ Cassidy. P. Diddy, who co-hosted Campbell’s 38th birthday party, sent a video message, and Doronin gave the guest of honor a bouquet composed of forty white roses, one for every year she’s been alive—apparently, the five-foot-ten Campbell doesn’t need one to grow on.

Lauren Conrad’s Beauty Must-Haves

In the latest issue of InStyle, Lauren Conrad reveals the secret behind her perfect golden glow. “I have tried at least 20 [self-tanners]! Dior makes a great one that isn’t too orange,” she told us. “I always test a small area that I can cover up if need be. It is all trial and error.” While the former Hills star will shell out for indulgent oxygen facials and laser hair removal (“I get everything done.”) at-home tanning isn’t the only thing she can does herself: “Manicures. Tyra’s Tribute To Alexander McQueen

She dedicated the latest cycle of her show, America’s Next Top Model, to Alexander McQueen, but that wasn’t the only homage Tyra Banks planned to honor the late, great British designer: She also arranged a fittingly over-the-top fashion shoot for her eponymous online magazine, for which she posed in both “H2T” (that’s Tyra-speak for head-to-toe) McQueen, including this stunning blue dress, and a number of “royal” costumes. “McQueen was considered royalty in the fashion community,” she explains on the site. “I like to think that he would have loved these photos.”

The Cannes Film Festival came to a close last night at the star-studded amfAR Gala, sponsored by Giorgio Armani. After a week’s worth of incredible style, we’re wondering who wins the Palme d’Or for best-dressed? Naomi Watts took our breath away most memorably in glittering Gucci. Kate Beckinsale wore nine amazing dresses, including this ethereal Marchesa gown. Salma Hayek Pinault made red-carpet history debuting the first-ever Gucci Premiere gown and continued to stun in looks from the brand’s new couture collection. Cate Blanchett honored the late Alexander McQueen with his hand-picked eagle-emblazoned gown that will forever be remembered, and Eva Longoria Parker embodied classic Cannes glamour in Naeem Khan and Elie Saab. The Cannes Film Festival came to a stylish end at amfAR’s annual Cinema Against AIDS gala at the Hotel du Cap. Diane Kruger and Rachel Bilson sipped champagne in Chanel, showing off the talents of master couturier Karl Lagerfeld, who was also in attendance. Jennifer Lopez wowed in baby pink Roberto Cavalli couture, while Emily Blunt traded in her traditional under-stated hues for a red form-fitting Georges Chakras gown. Michelle Williams opted for a glittering mod minidress, inspired perhaps by her adorable new cropped top!
