J. Crew Perfects The Beach Tote

Now, thanks to J.Crew, we can buy a beach bag that’s fit for a double life, too. The retailer has teamed up with Angela Adams—an artist and designer known for her ruggedly beautiful housewares and handbags, shaped by her upbringing on the coast of Maine—to create three brightly-colored totes “inspired by our combined love of summer and the ocean.” The bags are constructed from recycled boat sails, some of which have been around the world, and they’re completely water-resistant—durable enough to withstand sun and sand, but stylish enough for lunch on the dock. The bag retails for $198 and is available at jcrew.com.
