Sienna Miller For Piaget Possession

May 12, 2010 @ 6:38 pm

To mark the 20th anniversary of Piaget Possession, the luxury jeweler has named Sienna Miller the new face of the collection. The first campaign image features Miller in a simplistic look—white tee and black leather pants—appropriately adorned with layers of yellow gold necklaces, bracelets and rings from the iconic collection. Shot in downtown N.Y.C. by photographer Raymond Meier and featuring makeup by Gucci Westman and styling by Elissa Santisi, the 3-image campaign will continue to be released over the coming months. Check out behind-the-scenes video from the shoot and interviews with hair, makeup and Sienna herself on Piaget.com beginning May 17th.

Cannes’ Incredibly Stylish Start

May 12, 2010 @ 5:49 pm

The most stylish of film festivals opened today as two legendary brands celebrated historical red-carpet moments, one a final, and one a first. At the Cannes premiere of Robin Hood, Cate Blanchett wore a stunning black and silver eagle-emblazoned gown from the late Alexander McQueen‘s Pre-Fall 2010 collection that the designer personally selected for the actress before his death. And Salma Hayek debuted Gucci’s first-ever couture gown, a bordeaux silk one-shouldered number with deep red crystal embroidery, from Frida Giannini’s Gucci Premiere collection. It’s only Day 1 and the gorgeous looks are already taking our breath away—we can’t wait to see what’s next!

See all the stunning style from stars like Kate Beckinsale and Eva Longoria at Cannes.

Hollywood’s Favorite Island Hotspot

May 12, 2010 @ 4:22 pm

Maui has long been a destination for romantic getaways and relaxing retreats, and the Four Seasons Resort Maui is one of the Hawaiian island’s top luxury hotels. Earlier this year, Mike Comrie proposed to Hilary Duff on one of the hotel’s balconies and more recently Jennifer Aniston made the resort her home while filming Just Go With It in Maui. Now, families are getting in on the fun, too: Tonight’s episode of ABC’s Modern Family was filmed entirely at the resort, and with features such as an arts and crafts club, various water sports programs and the brand new, adults-only Serenity pool, perhaps the hilarious, high-strung Pritchetts can finally relax! (As if…)  Catch Modern Family‘s Hawaiian getaway tonight at 9 p.m. on ABC.

Chanel Cruise: Bikes & Bare Feet in St. Tropez!

After fun-filled pre-show festivities, stars like Diane Kruger and Vanessa Paradis took in Karl Lagerfeld’s 2011 resort collection for Chanel yesterday evening in Saint Tropez. The boardwalk alongside popular hangout Café Sénéquier served as the runway for his ’70s-jetsetter-inspired collection, which featured hippie chic crochet and chiffon jumpsuits, micro-minidresses in the line’s signature pink and black tweed, cutesy gingham swimsuits and tonal leather and suede separates. While the knee-high gladiator sandals and strappy wedges were completely covetable, most models, like Karolina Kurkova, happily slipped them off for a barefoot strut. For the finale, Georgia May Jagger hopped aboard a motorcycle in a tunic dress and cognac over-the-knee boots, as if she were heading off to yet another fashionable Chanel fantasy. Click on the gallery for our favorite looks from Chanel’s 2010 resort collection.

Cate & Russell’s Robin Hood Style

We’ve never seen such stylish swashbuckling! While Cate Blanchett and Russell Crowe hit the red carpet for the world premiere of Robin Hood in Cannes this morning, wardrobe designer Janty Yates gave us inside scoop on the costumes she created for the action adventure flick. “[Blanchett's character] Maid Marion lives hand to mouth and wouldn’t have had new clothes for 10 years, so we wanted to give her clothes an earthy simplicity,” Yates said. The biggest challenge of transforming the stylish star into a penniless aristocrat? “Cate makes everything look gorgeous!” including a pair of custom Bruno Frisoni by Roger Vivier boots that were so beautiful Blanchett herself didn’t want to mess them up. “I was slightly freaked out about the amount of mud I had to wade through,” she said. While Blanchett’s costuming was simple, Crowe weighed in on every detail of his wardrobe. “Cate just got into her gear and went off, but Russell is very specific about what he wants,” remembered Yancy. “When I flew to Australia for his fitting, I took 23 suitcases so that we would have lots of choices. He has a great eye for detail.” Click on for more scoop on Blanchett and Crowe’s Robin Hood style (including those to-die-for Vivier boots!).
