SATC Insiders Name Sweetest Memories

Our friends over at EW.com asked some of the creators and stars of mega-series Sex and The City to share some of their most unforgettable moments. Director Michael Patrick King recalled when the guys finally “got it”: ”One night, we were filming the scene where Carrie and Aidan are breaking up around that big fountain at Columbus Circle. And a garbage truck went by, and the guy hung off and said, ‘Hey, Carrie! Heeeeey! You’re my girlfriend!’ And that was when I realized it had gone past [just] the girls thinking ‘I’m Carrie.”’ As for Carrie herself, Sarah Jessica Parker remembered one of her favorite episodes. ”To this day, one of my most favorite scenes of the four of us… [is in ''Valley of the Twenty-Something Guys'']… starting off with two of us, then three of us, then four of us in a cab, picking each other up on the way somewhere, and how we dressed then and how we looked… I just loved that,” she said. Get Heidi Klum’s Summer Smoky Eyes

While black shadow may seem a bit heavy for summer, Heidi Klum proves that a smoky eye can be worn year-round if applied with the right colors. “The softer the shade, the more appropriate it is for warm weather,” says makeup artist Linda Hay, who prepped Klum for a recent event. Hay thinly rimmed the star’s eyes with a sharp black pencil (try Victoria’s Secret Eyeliner in Extreme Black) “for a less intense smoky effect,” then highlighted the liner with sheer silver and pink shadows (try Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow in Mystic Eyes). To finish, she piled three coats of black mascara on lashes.

Sienna Miller’s Brand New Bangs

It’s been a banner month for bangs—first Gwyneth Paltrow sported fringe as Pepper Potts in Iron Man 2 and Gwen Stefani recently traded in her retro waves for a rocker lob with statement bangs. Now Sienna Miller has followed suit, sporting a chic new eye-grazing style at Matthew Williamson’s Belvedere Pink Grapefruit launch party this week. While easy, tousled waves have become the British beauty’s signature style, she’s done her share of experimenting. Go Inside Louis Vuitton’s London Launch Party

Earlier this week, Louis Vuitton hosted a star-studded bash to celebrate its new Bond Street Maison store, and a new video takes us inside the festivities. Amidst the luxe surroundings, Alexa Chung asks celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and Kirsten Dunst about their most treasured Vuitton piece. (The answer for both? A vintage trunk.) “Everyone would like a vintage trunk if they could have one. I want to put all my records in one,” said Dunst. Our favorite part of the video? Marc Jacobs singing “On the Radio” alongside disco queen Donna Summer. Check it out above!

SJP Pays Tribute To McQueen At SATC2 Premiere

For the London premiere of Sex and The City 2, Sarah Jessica Parker paid tribute to her good friend the late Alexander McQueen in a stunning silk and lace bustier gown from his Spring 2008 collection. The actress’s homage to the British design legend didn’t stop there: She paired the gown with a towering tulle headpiece by McQueen’s frequent collaborator Phillip Treacy and a black armband encrusted with Fred Leighton diamond clips as a sign of mourning. This is the second time a McQueen-Treacy combo has produced an unforgettable look for SJP. The star famously wore a lime green chiffon dress and butterfly-strewn hat by the duo to Sex and The City: The Movie‘s London premiere in 2008. Parker’s memorial to McQueen continues stateside on June 7th where she’ll present the CFDA’s Special Tribute Award in his honor.
