N.Y.C.’s famous Metropolitan Museum of Art has tapped Sarah Jessica Parker to record the audio guide for the Costume Institute‘s upcoming fashion exhibit, “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity.” The exhibit, on view from May 5th through August 15th, “will look at fashion’s role in defining how American women have been represented historically,” says its curator, Andrew Bolton. “Because of Sex and The City,’ [Parker] is so much associated with New York and America, and with using fashion as a way to shape identity,” Bolton told WWD. Actress and philanthropist Patricia Arquette has teamed up with jewelry designer Satya Scainetti on a charitable necklace to support ongoing relief efforts in Haiti. “We share Patricia’s passion for this cause and we cannot forget what has happened in Haiti,” said Scainetti.  The Hope, Love & Healing for Haiti necklace ($38) is crafted in sterling silver with three pendants—a hope charm, a love charm and a turquoise stone to symbolize healing.  “This necklace is the perfect embodiment of the hope we are trying to bring to Haiti,” said Arquette.  All proceeds from the necklace will benefit Arquette’s charity, Give Love, which provides sustainable housing, sanitation and water filtration solutions to Haitians affected by the recent tragedy.  The necklace is available now in all Satya boutiques, as well as online at satyajewelry.com.
