Marc Jacobs landed a coveted spot on Time magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. His friend Victoria Beckham, who once starred in his ad campaigns, had the honor of toasting Jacobs—the only fashion designer to make the list—in the issue. “His passion for popular culture infuses his designs with irreverence, color and energy. It’s what sets him far ahead of his peers,” Beckham wrote. “You can always tell when someone is wearing Marc Jacobs.” Artists and entertainers also featured on Time‘s list include Lady Gaga, Robert Pattinson, Sandra Bullock and Glee‘s Lea Michele.
